Default questions about some near future part purchases

well i plan on doing some major work here soon and i was wondering what you guys thought would be my best match. i have a cobb sri right now and want to upgrade pretty much all the rest of the bolt ons. namely downpipe, test pipe, intercooler, bpv/bov, and manifold. i was planning on doing the corksport dp+tp and your manifold. what i was wondering is what i should go with on the IC and bpv/bov. i would like to go with a FMIC and i see good things with corksport and turboXS, but i already have the cobb and dont want to get rid of it. i was looking at the ATP unit because price wise its the cheapest but at the same time i dont know how it stacks up to the others in reality. there are a bunch of claims on everyones unit just wondering what you guys would go with considering my choice in parts. also basically the same difference on the BPV/BOV i've heard a bunch of stuff all around about everything. i just dont want to spend money on several trying to get whats best. i think preferably i would like either a hybrid or a recirc just because i dont want a bunch of issues with backfire and cel's.

thanks

well in terms of FMIC I like the TurboXS one (only part I really like from them for the 3) but you will probably have issues with the manifold but we are working on getting the manifold slightly redesigned for this. The ATP is a nice kit from what I have seen aswell. It is really hard to tell without having them all sitting in front of me and me having a few days to really test them all out on a car and at this point that isn't really feasable. We no longer carry TurboXS parts because of the fact that they are a pain to get things from. In terms of BPV's that is also up in the air. There are a few guys trying out the new Synchronic Valves at a discounted rate we will see how they like them (I can say all I want about them but until you get their opinions it's a mute point.) I really like the Forge just because of ease of installation.

if I were you, I'd do all the exhaust work. you're looking at a little over a thousand bucks, and a pretty decent jump in power. with a manifold, downpipe, and catless midpipe, I think 50ish hp isn't totally out of the question... someone can feel free to chime in and disagree with me, but the manifold claims 30, the dp claims 30 and the mid pipe claims 20 I think.

the forge valve I love because it looks and feels like a really beefy part. it was super easy to put on too.

just FYI on the corksport front mount intercooler, this is getting beat to death on these forums, but the MAF housing is way too big. it's causing big time problems, and I would definitely wait to see what happens with that before buying their setup. I like theirs the best though... I have a cold air intake, and I would totally get rid of it for the CS front mount.

anyway, I'm working on the exhaust right now, so everyone else should be too! we can give eachother pointers and stuff!

Im not to sure either....However from the reading i did it seems like users were reporting better MPG Reading on the Synchronic forum they are asking everybody to report back on there gains(fuel) if any. I read a Speed 6 user gained 5% a tank but has only filled up 3 times so far so it definatly a little more time.

We will see!!!

well i'll hold off on the manifold then for a bit. as far as the Synchronic Valve what kinda prices are you running? i'm willing to try something new if you think it'll end up working out better. i've heard nothing but good things on the forge but at the same time i've seen people take them off.
