There's 50 in this thread.

Like the voice in the movie "field of dreams" said...

If to fucking build it, they be buying the fuck outa em.

Ok, might be a bit off. Build it, prove it works, sell.

I'm willing to test for him.

Want to know how many want this fix? Read the comments, check the likes.

There won't be a GB here unless I'm elbow deep testing it. It's gotta be legit. I've seen it work on MSP. It will sell the fuck outta speed3 if he makes it.

Just send him the link to the thread.

We are here. We need. We will buy.

Someone make the shit!

I'm tired of buying new bumper retainers.
I'm down for a new solution unless it requires drilling the bumper cover and having those "buttons" showing.

Just talked to Noah @ aac. He told me he's slammed to the end of august right now, but if we can get a local test car in Seattle, WA he will take a shot at making a set for this platform.

Here's some better pictures. I purchased four of everything. The washers on the outside of the bumper and fender are roofing washers and the bolt is chrome to help prevent rusting.

With Raiders permission I can post a link to something Evo guys use. Cost $150 but the fit/finish is much more clean and you literally just press a small button tab near the fender and the bumper comes right off and on

Similar materials. I'll just post some pics for reference. Sure it could be pieced together cheaper than what the person making these is selling em for.

Chris Hillen... aka ChefSp0t on other forums has one of those push button ones; we discussed this in length back last winter and he did it.

He but the part from JEGs ebay page because it was like $4 less lol.

I know yall's bumpers are slightly different than ours but it's the same concept.

I still need him to get a picture, I'll bug him about it, because I would like to do this as well.

I certainly don't have the issues, Eric I remember your bumper you ALWAYS complained about yours when I was around you, but never had the problem......... until we did my headlights that one time, since then LOL not so much! But still, the Speed3s seem to have it way worse than anyone else, not really sure why.

But.... you can see the button here:

As much as we discussed the bottom thing, next I saw he had already put it in place and was using it, so clearly it wasn't an issue, from what he told me the most difficult part was lining it up, and since it has that outer edge you can pretty much be off by a 1/4" and still not notice, but he said he had zero issues at all.

I'll bug him about it some more and have him take his bumper off and take some picture of what's going on underneath.

Just curious as to why you would need new ones? I thought the problem was the plastic tabs on the actual bumper that cause the problem

Where the screw is, yes. But under the headlight I believe it's the clips, not the bumper.

just tappa it in...

Right. The bumper retainer has a bunch of little plastic fingers that are what the edge of the bumper snaps in to. The fingers keep the bumper held flush and break easily if you take the bumper cover off. The screw is right at the edge of the bumper and wheel well. The clips are from the screw towards the headlight.
