(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Stumbled upon a listing for a 2007 MS3 with some tasty mods. The mileage is what’s kinda making me hesitant on pulling the trigger or not, it has 154,000 miles. Just want something to daily but won’t break on me if I happen to romp on it from time to time. Risky or not risky? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I can't say about the car but this could be a bargaining point. Maybe check the "what's your mileage thread" to see what other MS3 gen 1 owner have for mileage and how theirs are holding up.

| Yes. This is a risky buy. The person selling it seems to be listing components that they don't know anything about. Here are a few examples: - The OEM MS3 comes with a K04. There's nothing "big" about it. - The OEM MS3 comes with a turbo inlet pipe and a turbo down pipe - if they're aftermarket, then he hasn't said anything about it. - If the car has an aftermarket intake, exhaust, and turbo (as is suggested by the parts list), then it needs an aftermarket tune to be run safely. I do not see any sign of a tuning solution (Cobb Accessport, Hypertech, Versatuner, etc.). - Denso has never made an intercooler for the MS3 except for the OEM unit. I would run, not walk, away from that car.

| Not Ranked : 0 score if you want a daily that won,t break, make sure to avoid any 12 years old turbo charged sport car at first and obviously any modded one. but you could be served very well with any of the 2010 and above 2.0l and 2.5 versions. Any bright and logic choice when you get a 12years old sport turbo car is to have a b plan option to reach work when it will break and a reserve of money to pay for it. I would say about a free 3-4k if you can do basic maintenance yourself and a bit more if you take it to garage for everything....

| Not Ranked : 0 score Find one with lower mileage and stock. Run through the thread in the newb section on what to look for and follow that to a T. If you don't know how to wrench or what to look for, ask a friend who does. The mods and no mention of a tune make this a blind buy.
