(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Running hot. Just noticed this recently. Never checked my coolant temp before and it seems like I've been running hot for a long time. Sometimes it peaks to 240 degrees, highway driving is around 220. Thermostat, sensor or something else? The fan kicks on usually after I turn the car off. Sent from my XT1565 using Tapatalk |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Word on the street, the thermostat usually fails open. On my 6, the fan usually comes on at about 218ish. Cruising temps are around 200. If you have a 6, the A/C will kick the other fan on. Make sure your coolant is topped off and no air trapped anywhere. Check for blockages in front of the radiator. Maybe you have a Walmart bag in there.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Mine is pinkish? It's the Asian stuff. Different coolants don't cool different, but the wrong compounds in the coolant could adversely effect your system components.
