Default Solenoid in ignition switch - how to control?

Okay, the keyless start system with the fob. When you push on the ignition key switch (without a key) and you have the fob nearby, it activates a solenoid inside the ignition switch which allows you to turn it and start the car. My fob is going bad. Basically useless at this point. Not paying any amount of money for a new one. I want to spoof the signal the fob is sending to the ignition switch to allow you to turn the key switch without the key and start the car. Is it inside the ignition assembly itself? Has anyone messed with this?

I also noticed that there is an immobilizer around the keyswitch when you take the cover off. Is this for a chipped key? If so, it still starts without the key so it must get bypassed when you use the fob.

If you can turn the key cylinder and start the car with a bad fob, and without the key. So could anyone else...

When you figure out the solution to your problem, be sure to let the rest of us know.

Goal: remote start from phone, no key, no fob
I have an old honda civic that I already have set up this way. That is a much simpler ignition system. Only a couple of things to wire up
Problem: this car has a lot more involved ignition system with an immobilizer which I don't know how to get around, that's why I wanted to utilize the smart key system because it seems to bypass the immobilizer step somehow

Clone the key info with an flcan or ADS-ALCA to bypass immobilizer.
However the actual column lock mechanism is controlled via serial data from the keyless module. It looks like you would need to physically remove the ignition switch/column lock assembly from the steering column in order to remove the column lock.
