(Thread Starter) | Neutral : -1 score I am new to the forum. I joined up because I am looking to buy an MS3 within the next several months. I want something with low miles for under 15k. What I am wondering is what is all of your opinions on the two packages that are offered? is the GT worth the extra money? From what I have read, the Bose system sucks in the car anyways, so besides that, what other features does the higher package offer. I apologize if this has been covered before, I searched the forums and couldnt find much on it. Any opinions are appreciated Thanks in advance Josh |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I recently bought the 2009 gt that you see in my avatar. i drove the sport, and just didnt like it as much, hid's are awesome, auto headlights, rain sensor are much better. seats are incredible, and if you like good crisp sound but not too loud, the bose system is good enough. If i had to pick all over again i would go with the gt. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score all the above information is correct and the sport has mp3. it wasn't worth the money for me to buy a gt, but i wouldn't make this the deciding factor on a used one. i actually like the cloth seats. stick to 08.5-09 ---> piano black dash.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I spent the extra for the GT, and if I had it to do over again, I would still buy the GT. The extra features make it very livable. I actually wish there were a few other options available that you can't even get with the GT, but that's just me. But my MS3 is my DD. If I were buying it primarily for the track, I'd go with the sport. The one thing with the radio is that, sure the Bose is crap compared with other aftermarket sound systems (or even other Bose radios - the Bose in my wife's old Forester was incredible), but it's still better than the radio in the sport. If you buy the sport, you will presumably want to upgrade the audio system, and you should factor that into the cost of the car or find one with an upgraded system already.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I just bought an 08 sport (not sure if its the 08.5 or not) I like the cloth seats personally, they're comfy and the gt's seats are just leather inserts, not full leather. As for the audio system there is a 3.5mm audio jack in the center console which is convenient. The sound system is enough to get by, it's not terrible but its nothing special. The car is my DD and if you're ok with not having the extra features I would recommend saving yourself the money. Also the headlights have projector housings in them already so an HID swap wouldnt be hard at all.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The Alcantara as also see in Porsche and Lambo's is very nice. I would've been fine with the Sport seats too though becuase I have a feeling they might last longer... if there were a race to the death... Uhmm... If you have a sharp eye you might be able to tell by the headlights, and more notably the rear tail lights. The sport rear tail lights have colored maybe red lenses. The GT rear tail lights are LED and are miostly clear but I think the turn signals are slightly yellow tinted. And of course you can tell by the interior.... Also since sport has less features it will have about a 15 second faster quarter mile time. EDIT: Jk on that last line, I'm notifying you so you know the above rest is true. I got my 08.5 CPO GT for 19.1K but I probably should've tried for 18.5 The extra features are nice, but if you can find a sport for several thousand cheaper that's identical otherwise, just upgrade the stereo and stuff yourself. The bose really isn't that great, bose just has good marketing. I'm not sure if anyone trust protogegarage anymore, but I recall them having a touchscreen double DIN replacement for our CD player and stuff, and it looks pretty nice. That's what I would go for if I did such a modification. With some more reserach of course.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I bought the GT and havent regretted it. Definitely makes the interior feel a little more attractive. The HIDS are awesome, the piano black panels are a nice touch, the white needles on tachometer/gas/rpms are nicer than the red on sports (friend has a sport=jealous of needles), seats look nicer, bose system is okay eh, and finally if i had to pick my top reason for GT its the....Auto rain sensing wipers. It bugs the crap out of me to have to constantly change the wiper speed when it rains, with the wipers is adjusts by itself...amazing. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score It seems to me that at least for my particular case, the gt makes more sense. I dont really have the know-how to do performance modifications, and the car is going to be with me for a while, so it might as well be as livable as possible. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I forsee a flood of threads about how to fix auto-sensing wipers and auto headlights on MSF in a couple years. Less unnecessary electric nannies FTW. That's why I went Sport. Oh, and the trip computer unlock trick worked for my '07. Don't worry if it doesn't work for your car though; it's about worthless. The MPG figures are generous at best. Tapadatass

| Not Ranked : 0 score Don't get caught up on the Sport vs GT, color, or 2008 vs 2008.5. It's all the same. Car-Fax, mileage, and condition are key when looking for a used speed. Good Luck |
