Starter clicks, no turn over and other electronics not working

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. I tried something that I thought would be fine in an attempt to fix my radio, but I guess it wasn't.

I ran an isolated 16ga wire from the battery to the remote wire pin in the stock bose amp. I did this because it wasn't getting remote power, it fixed my radio and I had a moment of triumph. I hooked my subs back up to my aftermarket amp, and they worked. I noticed my head unit was really slow when I try adjusting the equalizer and it didn't make the beeping sounds. I tried starting my car and it barely cranked once and then it just only clicked.

I tried jumping it and everything but the starter only clicks. My windows won't roll down, the head unit doesn't display anything but still lights up, my climate control and head unit seems to turn on and off as I can hear the CD changer or tape player making the noise it makes when you unplug the battery. Some of the dash lights dim out and some don't when I try cranking it.

Any info would be appreciated I tried looking this up but haven't found anything. I'm gonna check all the fuses tomorrow but I have a horrible feeling its nothing to do with them

Was the wire you ran shielded or coated (in other words, bare wire or sheathed) and did it contact anything along the routing path?

And I have a few questions:

Are you running two amps? So stock bose head unit and speakers with aftermarket subs on the aftermarket amp?

What is the remote power you speak of and what does it do? My bose didnt have a remote... probably something completely different than what I'm thinking.

Did you disconnect the wire you added? I think you created a short or a diversion in the loop and you probably also fried ... something.

The wire I ran was insulated. It didn't touch anything other than the battery positive terminal and the remote signal wire on the stock amp. That's what tells the amp to turn on when the radio turns on. It's a blue/black wire if I remember correctly.

I do have the stock bose system with an aftermarket amp that controls my subs.

After my car wouldnt start I disconnected the wire and haven't tried putting it back in.

I tried a different body control module as most of the symptoms pointed to a fried bcm but that didn't work.

Oh boy... So just out of curiosity why did you think takeing a unfused wire from your battery and shoveing it in to the oem harness was a good idea? What was wrong with your radio to begin with? The bose turn on is 6v.
What is the battery voltage with key on and during cranking? When you crank and voltage goes below 10v electrinics freak out and reset. Chances are you blew the radio. The wire kept something on and killed the battery. The click means the starter is getting power so the fact that it isnt turning over is not enuf power. Check your fuses. Check your battery.

Stop screwing with electronics you don't know what you are doing. I cant even begin to explain the shit i have seen when people think they can work on electric circuits. It usally starts with car audio. Then they bring it in and say it dont work. And i take a look and say NO SHIT i dont think ducktape and gum works well as a wire for your amp.

The wire was only connected for a minute or two. The amp wasn't turning on which is why I tried that after I found it wasn't getting voltage to the remote. I shouldve researched what voltage it gets. I already tried jumping the battery. I have another I can try and I'll test voltage while cranking.
I'm not sure why the battery would be drained though. It didn't have any other starting problems before unless I shorted it out.

It was the alternator. Replaced it, jumped the car, and it charges and starts just fine. Definitely learned my lesson. Thanks to the people who tried helping.
