(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Hello everyone, this is my first post here, and my first issue with my new, barely 1 week old (to me) Mazdaspeed 6. When at WOT, and around 5K-7K rpms, there is a noticable crackling or creaking sound coming from the front of the car. There are a couple of things that I suspect might be the cause but I'm still very unsure of what the noise could mean. It is fully possible for me to drive it around town and not hear the noise, even coming in and out of boost. It's just when I really want to put my foot down while cruising at around 30 to 40mph when I will hear the noise come on when accellerating quickly. I can't quiet seem to get the noise to happen always at 1st gear, but 2-4 year pulls always result in that sound, so I stopped going wot in the mean time, just incase it isn't just a sound. As far as what I think it could be, my front bumper and fender / bay liners aren't on tight and are broken at alot of the screw points, since the last guy did the bumper clips holding the bumper on from the fenders to the front bumper, and the noise could be those things flaping around, but I'm just not sure why I would ONLY hear them when at wot. I checked to see if the turbo has any play and it is Rock solid. Here are the mods the last guys did to the car: JBR intake TurboSmart BOV New top mount intercooler Downpipe (catless) Dual exit cat back Hpfp upgrade (maybe?) |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Better make damn sure you can cross the maybe off the hpfp, otherwise you wont be driving it at all... Maybe a video would help with this sound, as its hard to diagnose it by the paragraph above.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Here is a video of it happening, and as far as the hpfp goes, I'm going to try and take a look at it today and see if it is aftermarket, the clips holding the fuel lines in aren't the blue and yellow ones, instead being steel clips, so maybe when he did the hpfp upgrade he replaced them, but not sure. |
