Default Swap non-speed front after accident?

After over a year of work (mostly saving money), I finally got my '08 running with a brand new engine and turbo. Then, a month later (aka last night), I hit a deer and demolish the front end. Driver's fender and support, bumper, fuse box, radiator support, etc. are all bits of plastic and metal scattered on the highway. I have very little cash after all the money to get the car on the road (bought it with a blown engine - it's been a labor of love). Here are my options:

1. buy a car with a bad engine and swap parts - gets me what I want, but means I have to spend 2-3000 on a car, then mess with parting it out. I have nearly zero garage space and no place to put a parts car. Honestly, it's a near impossibility from a practical perspective.
2. find all the parts I need individually. This is the most attractive option from a space perspective. I just buy parts from a salvage yard and put them on. BUT... there are almost no salvage MS3 cars even remotely close to me with what I need. Why IN THE HELL did Mazda make every front end part unique to the Speed???? I'd do this if I could find a car with a good front end. But so far, I can't.
3. give up after 16 months of sweat and just part the thing out. I'd lose thousands and take another Speed off the road. And I'd only have 3-4000 to buy some POS to drive. This is a possible option, but one I really hate.
4. convert the front end to a non-Speed hatchback. Body parts are easy and local. I could just get both fenders, the bumper and associated bits, and the hood.

My guess is that the Speed has a taller hood for the intercooler. I can't see any other reason for the rest of the changes. So, if I went with a FMIC, could I switch the front end out? That's the best option at the moment. I can't get a parts car. I can't find MS3 parts close to me. I really don't want to junk it and give up. So... can it be done? It's not great, but right now the car is completely un-driveable.

Taller hood to clear IC, taller fenders and different bumper to line up with the hood. The cowl at the windshield and all that trim and hardware might be different as well.

IMO, it'll be less hassle to source the correct parts. I've had
http://www.fattimotorworks.com find used oem parts for me before...

Also, never have only liability insurance on a car you can't afford to replace tomorrow.
