The original Exhaust Insulating Wrap was developed over 12 years ago by Thermo-Tec. Exhaust Insulating Wrap is an innovative way to create more horsepower and reduce under-hood temperatures. Wrapping headers maintains hotter exhaust gases that exit the system faster through decreased density. Increased exhaust scavenging is produced, along with lower intake temperatures. Exhaust Insulating Wrap withstands continuous heat up to 2000�F, and contains no asbestos. Thermo-Tec exhaust wrap will not over-insulate a system when properly installed due to a proprietary coating developed by Thermo-Tec - Thermal Conduction Technology (TCT) - that conducts heat across the wrap's surface. This coating controls heat build-up and dissipation.

The multi-purpose stainless steel Snap Straps are used to secure the Exhaust Insulating Wrap - and more. The high-temperature stainless steel straps have a narrow profile to fit tight spots, and can be cut to the exact length needed. Snap Straps secure with easy-to-use slide-through fasteners.

Cool Tube Heat Shield

Keep your induction air cool with this unique lace up tube cover. The design of the cover allows it to fit from 2-1/2 inch to 3 inch air tubes up to 36 inches long. The lace on heat shield blocks over 98% of the radiant heat of the turbo and exhaust. The kit comes complete with four different color laces, blue, yellow, red and white.

Turbo Insulating Wrap

The Turbo Kit was designed to protect, improve performance, and eliminate turbo lag of a turbo charger. This complete kit, to contain the heat produced by a turbo, fits a wide variety of turbines. The custom cut-to-fit kit comes with an excessive amount of material to cover turbos from the smallest automotive application to heavy-duty truck applications. Two Turbo Kits are available - a four cylinder kit, and a six and eight cylinder kit. Each kit contains a roll of Exhuast Insulating Wrap (1 inch with 4 cylinder kit, 2 inch with 6 & 8 cylinder kit), 1 yard of Aluminized Heat Barrier, and a 3 inch X 6 inch piece of Exhaust Insulating Wrap. Hardware and instructions are included.

I have not checked around online for competitive pricing, but I will price-beat guarantee on all above item.

We also have eat-insulating spray cans, but would be cheaper/same price to buy at your local auto parts store, if they stock them.

Is this better or worse than getting it coated? I was going to stay away from using this due to moisture issues...iduno.

As I think it was PTP who stated, they are about the same. Thermo-tec is a trusted brand in heat-insulating products..

I would honestly rather get it coated, thought it costs $100+, and the cost to ship it to a coater if one is unavailable locally.
