Trying to find previous owner of blue mica gen pu

trying to find the previous owner of my car. I know it’s a long shot.

Car started live in jersey but also spent time in PA and Michigan. It has a sticker on the gas cap that says premium fuel only very unique.

I am asking on here because the previous owner was obviously on this forum because he knew a lot about these cars and obviously did a lot of studying on them. He fixed all the major weak points that the stock speed 3s have and knew exactly what mods he needed to do to make the car safe and driveable.

Bought the car with 81k on the clock so it was sold with about 80.000 miles.

Mods when I bought the car were:

Cobb front mount

Injen intake

Blue Cobb turbo inlet

Sure rear motor mount

Divorced downpipe to stock catback

Had an access port installed.

Hpfp internals

Black focal aftermarket wheels.

Lowering springs


If anyone knows the previous owner of this car or know anything about the car in general please let me know. I just want to ask some questions about the car and maybe get lucky and get to ask the previous owner some questions.

How about you ask us some questions? Does the car run and behave perfectly fine or do you have any issues that you would like help with diagnosing?

the car runs perfectly fine.

Since buying the car I have added a turbo back exhaust, an e50 protune, replaced all the fluids and seafoamed the car a couple times, I also cleaned the MAF sensor, the throttle body, and the EGR. I think next on my list is to clean the valves, which would be one of the questions I have for the previous owner (whether or not he already cleaned them recently)

I just want to know what kind of oil he used, how often he changed it, what type of gas he used, what maintainance he had done, stuff like that.

The cars health checks out fine, but if he used the same oil for 80,000 miles i might as well continue to use the same oil he did.

Plus I want to know what tune he had on the car, whether it was off the shelf or a pro tune from one of the Mazda speed tuners.

Cool! Do you still have the same oil in the engine? You could take some out, taste it, smell it, have a lab test it. hahaha

Sounds like a cool car. You should swap out that SURE mount or at least keep an eye on the bushings. Search this site for SURE reviews

Hmm... Do you have the title? Shouldn't the owner's name be listed there? You could google their name and city. A VIN history website might be useful too.

I don't have the title because its on a loan.

However even if I did I don't know if I would stalk the owner down like that.

The dealer changed the oil when they got it so the same oil is not currently in there. they use mobil 1 at the dealer I bought it from.

The sure mount still looks great. I don't know the rating on it but it seems to be pretty solid and has some good vibes in the cabin.

Maybe ask the dealership to give the previous owner your contact information and a very brief message? I would think they would be willing to reach out to the owner to at least ask if they are interested in discussing the car.

Dont take this the wrong way now but reading this thread gives me that feeling you get when you see 2 special needs kids play together. Now i could see how that comes across badly but i mean it in a good way.
