the corksport DP seemed like a similar situation with the bottom-most bolt closer to the front of the car. You had to have the DP detatched to be able to start the nut when the DP was separated from the turbo because once the DP is down on the stud the whole way you couldnt get the nut on... let alone be able to do anything with it

corksport DP isn't that bad. even with the other 4 bolts on hand-tight you can still get that last bolt on. trust me, i've installed a CS dp several times.

and with that you should even have some of the bolts torqued down before you get them all at least hand-tight.

I don't know about the speed3's, but for the 6's, corksport makes superb quality product.

oh, no doubt, I love my exhaust Im just saying the piping on it does that whole thing where it bulges out into the way of the bolt a little bit

I feel for these guys though. When I get something and get stuck installing it it kills me.

and you guys' nuts on the DP sound easier to get on than mine... mine were tough as shit... you couldnt handthread any of it in the least - even getting them started

Too funny. I mean, John said there were only a few manifolds that had issues, mine included, which backs up my claim that there was a lot of variance in production. It just sucks that I may be getting stuck with a hefty labor bill because of it.

Yeah, weld a K04. I'm waiting for my BNR and hopefully a working manifold to install with it.

I'm just not sure if it's worth the hassle to send it back for rework, or if I should just get a refund and buy a manifold that's cheaper, not as good, but PROVEN.

The car's already back on the stock manifold. I pick it up after tuning tomorrow.

Hopefully the gains from the downpipe and tune will tide me over until I can get this stuff straightened out.

Why don't you go top mount. Leen at steedspeed has a gorgeous solution, and i think he built up 3 mani's right now.

Plus he's offering it for like $550, it's machined (will never crack), and honestly, i bet it'll flow just fine.

Only gotchya's are you'd need custom "tweaked" down pipe, intake and oil / coolant lines. But IMO the benefits outweigh the gotchya's.

Yeah, but I really want to keep my ETS TMIC. I don't like the look of FMICs on the MS6s and I just had my new DP installed. Plus I want to stay simple as this car's my DD.

I'm hoping John can fix this thing so I can use it because an equal length setup is worth A LOT over a log style manifold.

I certainly will.

After speaking to the tech that was doing the install I've decided to simply go another route regarding the manifold and will just take John up on his offer for a full refund. I just have to speak with him about being fair on at least half of the labor or something similar.

This is the reason I decided to try another route. The tech said that I had only a quarter inch of firewall clearance and any motor movement whatsoever would've surely damaged the runner(s) weld(s) over time.

This is a great manifold if revised, but the extra power isn't worth the risks IMHO. I just want something I can put in and not worry about.

your right i should but i cant seem to remember ALL our customer names. i would go crazy trying to remember them all. we get a lot of packages from our customers so we always ask that letters be put in them weather we can remember there names or not. we want any of our employee to be able to open a box and know what needs to be done with the contents.
