yeah I have been for about a week and I guess what it boils down to is that ive read so many horror stories about this clutch is a pos and this clutch blew up I just don't wanna deal with this shit happening again after putting up with out the car, and the cost for putting it in and all the time and effort. I bought this car last Friday, drove it for about two days and it fucked up. ive been driving a stick my whole life so I know there was no reason for the clutch to go out especially since it had a clutch put in it 10k ago... so yeah ive searched my ass off!!!

yeah that's why no one borrows my cars n e more, my dad got pissed while driving my 626 and shifted down to 2nd at 65 and blew the disc to pieces had the same clutch for 200k and the ms6 has 105 on it, the guy I bought it from told me that he put a clutch in it 10k miles ago and if so hes a fuckin tard who rode the clutch all the time or just beat the hell out of it. he also said he had a 08 2.3 put in the car with only 7k on it but I guess we will see how long it last!

immature assholes sure... we donate to help make this forum what it is, THE BEST SOURCE OF INFORMATION FOR ANY AND ALL MAZDASPEED VEHICLES PERFORMANCE RELATED. Search is by far your best friend, and at some point you will need information on something that comes up that you cant find anywhere else but here, and youll realize that you need to donate to access some of that information.

I am all for helping people and being nice and cool. I Just dont suggest getting snippy for any reason. we all joke and kid around and fuck with each other. but when its all said and done, this is my family you have come to meet. and unless you want to stick around i suggest keeping cool and take the trash talk or gtfo.

For the clutch issues you read about, many on hear track their cars. There is not that many great clutches that are cheap, last long and handle high HP. You can't have it both ways.


I suggest, as many will the following: If you don't auto-exe or you aren't pushing big numbers on a built block go with the oem clutch pack and a lightweight flywheel. Its cheap (if you do it yourself) and it will last.




Also, this is a fidgety, DI, Turbo setup car. This isn't some naturally aspirated boyish ricer car that lets you cruise around downtown in 6th gear flooring it at 600 RPM. This is closer to a turbo Porsche than a honda. So except costs to be higher. BUT I suggest you didn't know that cause you didn't research your purchase you liberal punk turd nugget.

Molon labe as far as the buying a ms6 and worrying about cost, not the issue at all why would I buy a ms6 if I was worried about cost seeing that a clutch replacement at a dealership cost upwards of 3k. I'm used to driving old school shit. Never had an import that was worthy of my time. A ricer? If I wanted a Honda I woulda bought a Honda. That being said I love mazdas always have so I bought one and found your forum when I searched or the clutch and figured you guys would be more than happy to help a new ms6 owner out... Well look where that got me. Assuming makes an ass out of u and me. So to end this shit before I laugh myself into a heart attack ill say sorry for asking some kids with to much time on the google machine, to the other guys that helped me out after a bit of scrutiny , thanks you guys are the reason I'm donating to this forum tonight.

My stock clutch went out on me almost 2 weeks ago. Instead of making a pointless thread about which clutch to get, I 21st centuried up, searched and found what would work best for my set-up.

However, you did not do that. Instead you make a thread, whining and complaining on all the different choices and part numbers. Then, you act like a fucking bitch when someone didn't answer your question. This could have went way worse for you, and you should be glad it didn't.

1st do not use the regular forum search use Google search.

2nd if you are bone stock use the stock clutch they can handle all the power u can make on stock turbo and will last longer.

3rd. Stop getting all butt hurt If u want to survive here. If u want to know anything about a Mazda speed this is the place to go. More than likely any question you can think of has been answered already.

I hear a lot of bad shit about aftermarket units from too grabby for street driving to it'll only last 20K miles.

So far, the most reliable option is OEM and it's expensive as shit. Anything else just hasn't been tested enough to be concrete.

Every New clutch is a lil crabby at first. If your so worried get a good name clutch with a warranty and if you blow that one up as well then take them up on the warranty if it was obviously your fault YES they can tell if its user malfunction or just a faulty clutch

After reading through this cluster fuck of a thread I see two things that might have changed the responses you received.

1) If you would have thought out what you were trying to convey from the OP instead of filtering down the info as you were assaulted things would have made more sense.
