Why won't any forum sponsors make an MS6 FMIC pipe kit?

What is so offputting about the MS6 that there are like 15 FMIC and pipe kits for MS3 and 0 for MS6? It isn't a technical feat, so is it purely a matter of volume?

There isn't a single MS6 FMIC kit on the market right now besides hack/chop universal and CX Racing kits and there hasn't been any other solution for probably 3 years now. There is a backlog of demand. CP-E and Corksport kits were both ok for their time, but both needed more development to be great solutions.

I already know what we need and what the best routing is. We just need a shop to work with us and make a pipe kit for us. I can't speak for others, but I'm pretty sure if you did a one and done group buy, we could probably get between 10-20 to buy the pipe kit and crashbar combo. I don't have the time to put the kit together myself and manage manufacturing and a group buy, but I want/need a smart FMIC setup. This is my information + feedback from the community. We have a good blueprint to work from.

Let's face it, it isn't rocket science. It's a few days mocking up piping and routing and mounting.

Well, I guess I stand corrected. You vendors know whats up. I expected response from other MS6 drivers who I thought would be as empassioned as me for this project and throw their support behind it.

I know everyone hates in newageautoparts but the owner of that company is working with treadstone for a piping kit. He had someone drive down to treadstone so they can fab up some piping. No idea on the progress.

Pretty sure he was banned from this forum, I have his company on Facebook and noticed they were talking about speed6 fmic. Last I read a guy drove to Florida last weekend and treadstone used his car to fab up a kit.

Edit: Hopefully treadstone sells the kit directly for you speed6 guys as many seems to dislike Nate from new age.

There's a kit made in Australia by HDI. It's a rather special kit but works great for me. Would have bought a fmic much earlier if there was a complete kit out there.
Price is $680 AUD on ebay which is ~ $485 USD

I currently have the CP-e in mine and wouldn't mind replacing it with a larger core and piping setup.
I'm in the process of rebuilding my engine and going with a GT30

If all else fails I'd make my own but prefer to have one pre fabricated

Haven't measured it but a 2.5" silicone hose fit pretty good on the turbo side. Coldside is bigger, maby 2.7 - 3"

I'd love one in the future, but couldn't justify paying much more than what a top mount goes for at the moment. If there was a kit that was maybe a little more than the ETS top mount I'd be down(like the one above, actually). Also, I don't want to remove the front lip from the bottom of the bumper. Not a tasteful look IMO.

Go custom, but first learn from my fails: here, here, here, here, here, and here.

The most important part is that a custom crash bar must absolutely bolt to the radiator frame, otherwise shit will sag over time.

Found out a little bit of info on the Aussie kit above in this thread HDI GT2 Intercooler kit ?

Didn't know the US ms6 had a beefier PS cooler than the rest of the globe.

Thanks. That pic has the lip removed. Someone from the thread I referenced earlier said that it could still fit though with a little trimming. Looks like a good candidate for an affordable fmic.


Gotcha. I wonder if we would be able to slap a regular 6 PS cooler on ours without any issue than??

CP-e used to make one for MS6 though. The CX-7 group used them. Going to guess cost and lack of sales was a reason it does not appear om their website.

The CPE kit fit by both pipes going thru hole where the airbox was. To fit 2.5" pipe you need to run the cold pipe under the frame over subframe and by trans. The PS cooler is in the way so any kit would need a new PS cooler.

I think market is not there anymore when everyone just runs CX racing piping kit with Treadstone core.

I went custom cause I wanted 2.5" piping and vertical flowing core.

Yea newageautoparts is xtr nate. He posted that he's working on a kit for the ms6 with treadstone. So check it out on Facebook if you want. Honestly I've bought a few parts from him and haven't had a problem. I already have the corksport so I don't need a Fmic but when the Fmic comes out I hope people support and buy them and not just blow hot air. Why do you think cs and Cpe stopped making them. I heard Matt damond was supposed to be working on something too. Don't know true that is.

I'm meeting with a fabricator on Saturday. I'm gonna have a piping and mount kit made for a same side treadstone ic that routes on the driver side. If it turns out, I'm gonna start a group buy.

Blow thru is when you place the MAF (mass air sensor) right before the throttle body. It meters pressurized air instead of air at 1 atmosphere.

Its advantages are:

1) you can have a full VTA blow off valve with all the panty dropping ricer goodness and not run rich from all the lost air in-between shifts.

2) you can stick the filter right on the turbo (top mount setup) or run a huuuuuge intake without idle concerns that come from large intakes that are non "blow thru".

Its disadvantages are:

1) It is generally harder to dial your maf in.

2) You now have a much more complex setup.

I thought I heard somewhere that it was running without an ic. I know guys that run turbo setups on carbs use the terminology blow through in regards to the carb, but that obviously doesn't apply here.

It took like 4 MAF cal logs to get it dialed in. Just a small inconvenience.

Blow through on a carb is the same concept as blow through on a maf they both meter the air for fuel delivery.

Makes sense. Haven't ever really heard much about it on efi cars, though. What's the primary reason/benefit for doing on these cars? More pipe routing options?

I made a hole next to the radiator on the passenger side and ran it straight up. Keeping the washer was important for my Meth supply. It's tight but it works.

Didnt read anything but, I got SOLID info that treadstone is about to start but vendors are talking them out of it because of the obvious.
