COBB: Your fueling table are mixed up 2006 Mazdaspeed6

2006 Mazdaspeed6
AP AP3-MAZ-002 v1.7.1.1-10180 (INSTALLED)
ATR 1.9.1.0-9908

I couldn't figure out why my car kept going ~.25pts richer under no knock AFR targets as I tried a few iterations to dial in my WOT maf cal to no avail. I then realized the AFRs were dead on with my knock table AFRS, even though there was zero KR in the logs. Set knock fueling tables to match no knock fueling tables and the AFRs tracked correctly.

So, my target AFRs are tracking one of the incorrectly labeled knock AFR tables.

I saw this was an ATR issue before with genpus and it was identified as an issue at that time. Not sure if it was resolved or outstanding issue, but I would like to know which table was which and let you know this is an outstanding issue.

thanks already saw it.....

Ever since the issues arose with the 2.5 load and wonky AFR's....( http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...2-50-a-162621/ )

One of the recommended fixes was to make all fuel tables the same. So anytime I see weird fueling issues that I cannot track down, this is one of my first troubleshooting procedures..

Alas, it's been a common strategy for way too long to have the timing tables all the same and the fueling tables all the same. The ECU has logic & tables we don't have access to in ATR that will pull fuel and timing when KR is seen, and which pay no attention to the tables we can use. This gets discussed by folks like @rfinkle2; even prior to the load >2.5 issue.

What tables do you AP guys have available? Just took a look in Versatune and there are several Open Loop AFR tables and the one named "Knock present" does actually have richer afr values than AFR Target Normal and AFR Target Overload (which have the same values)

Here are all fueling tables in VT. "Extended" means it has values up to 8k RPM

Maby VT has enough tables to make it a non-issue?
