Even if 2010 can brake boost, can all the 2012s at least be happy that we didn't get chicken pox dashboard and door handles? lol

I do like our gauge design better, but admit a lot of the rest is an upgrade. LOL.

I've actually never brake boosted in this car.

and anyone who has ever seen me run from a roll, if we don't agree on starting off at a certain gear, you best believe I'm starting off one gear lower. I'd rather spin tire, be at full boost and bang up right away than try to build boost.

I've actually found ffs shifting without using it in the ap will get you better times, the bump in rpm between shifts seems to help. I picked up .2 with the same mph, consistent launches, only changing from lifting to full throttle during shifts...

just tappa it in...

Back on track because interested; what are the down sides?

Possible tranny damage if grindage
Way faster clutch wear...

These two seem pretty big? I only ffs 2-4th when I'm racing someone that I know will be a solid race.

Its not hard but it sucks to have to loose power steering because of it. This car is my daily driver and by March will likely be my wife's daily driver so power steering is not something I care to live without.

I daily drive mine, it doesn't happen often and it's not that big of a deal when it does, the car I had before this one didn't have power steering either so i guess I am just use to it.

Have you unhooked it to give it a try?

I was hesitant as well, but the loss of power steering is almost unnoticeable and only @ very low speeds.

If you have a tune on the car, I honestly feel it may be safer to unplug it for your wife because I've had people stumble / hiccup pretty badly when trying to pull out in traffic.

Rob, while I tend to agree I'm hoping somebody will have the knowledge to complete my SWAS fix circuit. I know how to do it but not the components needed to get the job done. If someone would step up we could make this a DIY kit or I'm sure someone could make some money off of it. It's a very simple circuit.

Nishan is very busy lately (LOL ... Sorry Nishan), but is a genius when it comes to wiring and this type of thing. (I'm certainly not. I'm lucky to get my boost gauge in properly HAHA).

@ms3blackmica; wanna make a "mad scientiest swas kit" and a few bucks? LOL.

If you press the button, turn the key to on (but not crank the motor) you'll see the little gas cap light come on within a few seconds, then turn the car on - it should be off.

Gas cap light is a screw looking thing going into the side of the car. lol And if you don't hold it long enough, it will not illuminate.

So turned onto accessory, held TCS button, no extra light came on. But when I started the car the TCS light stays on when I press the button repeatedly.

Didn't drive it, so will test it tomorrow.

If you have a 2012 you can start the car completely and then press and hold the TCS button down for 10 seconds and then let go. You will then see if you press it again it will NOT turn off. You have successfully disabled SWAS. You have to repeat this process after you turn the car off and start it again.

I don't know each of the model year's swas activity with all of the button tricks tbh.

I ask most of the guys / girls to unplug it to avoid and interruptions from it.

For my 2011 the button method doesn't work. I've tried multiple times and multiple ways.

Thats what everyone keeps telling me but its just a voltage reducer really... Basically taking a 5v signal and turning it into a .75-1.25v signal and then just solder it in.

It does not work on all model/years.

I know what you are talking about and I have seen it work on some Gen 2's.

Perhaps it was something from the factory that they tried?

However, many Gen 2's need to unplug the sensor to remove SWAS including Teddy.

I'm sorry I thought we were all on the same page. The guy from AUS I thought had a 2012. The button trick only seems to work for 2012 and 2013. Does it not work on your 2012 @Voltron Locos;

There is some other elaborate process that you can do also.

Holding down the tcs and brake before starting it for so many seconds, then start and it disables that feature. Not sure if that is exact process, I do not remember, but did it once before.

So either way on my MPS 3 (2012 MY13) it seems that I can hold the TCS either before starting the car or while driving and it plays the game. I didn't exactly go all out on public roads but on 2 corners every morning it normally decides to be MR.Buzzkillingtons if I push a little to hard, and today it seemed to not to cut in... Maybe it is psychological, maybe I wasn't aggressive enough or maybe it does work.

Will try it again on the way home I guess and see if I can get it to kick-in and cut power.

Won't know 110% until I throw it around a track any excuse to race I guess.

Just hold the button down for 10 seconds or so after you start it and forget about it. If you can't turn it back on, then you know you're good.

If this does work it will be one of the best investments on the car! My last few track days have been great but if you try to get on the power early and jump out of a corner it just cuts you down

Cheers to the MSF crowd for sharing this info!

Mine does that if I just push it once. Push and hold until you can't turn it back on, you can roast the tires until you slide of the track.

It's a use at your discretion tool. Up to you if you really want to fly off or not.
