You can break boost on gen 2s I do it in my 2013. You have to apply the break first than gas or a safety feature kills the car also make sure traction control is completely off by holding it for a few seconds you shouldn't be able to turn it off until u shut the car off

I tried left foot braking in the MPS... did not like that at all. As soon as I touched the pedal (while partially holding the accelerator to keep the boost up) it just cut power for a second. Does the 'holding TCS/DSC button trick' allow you to use left foot braking at the track without it failing hard?

EDIT: I will give it a test on the way home anyways to see if I can brake-boost and left-foot brake.

You have to have traction control off completely. Than let off the gas completely than brake first add gas bam brake boosting lol

I disagree. that k04 literally spools instantly. maybe if someone started a 40 roll in 3rd, then there's lag, but I started 40 in 2nd, and upshift right away.

I think that is the difference between you and most people. I started that race with the 335i from a 40 roll in 3rd and his brake boosting is what popped him ahead. I think had I possibly taken the teddy route and started in 2nd, I would have stood a better chance.

starting in 2nd instantly spools the stock turbo. brake boosting these turbos, to me, makes no sense. I don't think you could build up enough boost at that mph and gear to make a difference in a sushi roll.
we have put this to a test last year...I was stock turbo, with intake, tip, tmic, and downpipe vs another 2012 who was fully bolted, tuned, running e85 and meth. I was in 2nd, he brake boosted in 3rd. I got the hit instantly, and by the timeI went to 3rd, I was half car ahead of him and still pulling.

Back to the 2012 tc discussion, I rode in @Sid3wayS; car yesterday and we went into traffic and his SWAS kicked in. In my 2012 when I hold the button for 10 seconds (whether the car be on or off) I dont experience it and have never experienced it. Maybe it doesnt turn it COMPLETELY off, but I think its a lot more effective than previous years

I just enabled my FFS and its bad ass... its so much nicer than stock because you don't have to rush to the next gear and miss it... and for some reason it also feels smoother on the car

Yes but since the revs stay up is like the transition is so smooth... there's no going down then back up, it just stays smooth at higher rpms
