(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  AC Issue with '04 MSM Hi again. Just remembered that towards the end of last summer, I had an issue with the AC in my '04 MSM. It would cool sort of OK but it started cycling the compressor on and of frequently. When the compressor was on, it blew good cold air but, once the compressor was off, it warmed up (of course). The cycling was roughly every 10-15 seconds, sometimes more frequently. I thought it may have been low on refridgerant so I bought a container and attached it to the "LO" side. It took a small amount but not much. No change with the cycling. With summer coming (despite forecasts for snow this weekend!) I wanted to try and stay ahead of this. Any ideas folks?? Thanks in advance for any/all help!! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Bad pressure switch, orifice tube, or block expansion valve. I know for a fact they use the block expansion valve on the MSM, not sure about the outdated orifice tube though. A bad pressure switch would cause the compressor to think its low on refrigerant, and cycle on and off.
