Well, today I came out of the closet with an array of rainbow streamers and picked up a Miata.



It's a 99 with 102k miles on it and is bone stock. Needs some TLC cosmetically, but other than a squeaky throw out bearing she drives great. I'll just be starting with routine maintenance (timing belt has never been done I'm pretty sure) and some mild mods like fresh brakes all around and maybe wheels and tires before too long. I'm super happy with it so far, I now buy into all the hype that Miata's are simply fantastic to drive.

Though, this is starting to get slightly ridiculous:

This might just be a dry slave cylinder pushrod. Put some grease on the end of the pushrod where it interfaces with the clutch fork.

It definitely sounds like the T/O bearing. "Squeaky" wasn't quite the best word, but I couldn't think of another. But thank you, I will definitely check out the slave cylinder as well!

I've actually worked it out where I THINK I could fit 6.

Also, not pictured is @BigO;'s DISI build, which is back in the corner behind the Miata. I don't even know what my house looks like, I spend 98% of my time in the garage haha.

It took 3 hours of vacuuming, but the carpet now looks black again instead of brown...I don't think the previous owners vacuumed it at all in the six years they owned it.
