Default SpIcEz Track Miata project

With CodeMonkey and Ziggo showing off their project cars, I thought I should too.

KLZE V6 2.5 Miata

CSC Roll bar

Flyin Miata Vmaxx Extreme Coilovers

Still getting it ready. Got a time attack event on Monday.

Having a problem with the KLZE seems to fuel cut at 6000rpm, when it should go up to 7000RPM or more... cant figure out what is it yet...

Still havent figure out the problem, but I took it to the track anyways, had a Time Attack event paid in full.

Decent considering the engine was missing like 1000RPM

Lots of fun.

Yes stock seat, and I'm a big guy... currently in weight reduction mode

Stock seat also took a beating today.

I'll wait till I go down 1 or 2 belt sizes more, then shop for a seat. It'll give me a few more options. Right now it would be a pain to fit.

I still could do a foamectomy though...

Its also hard to heel/toe my knee keeps grinding on the steering... was thinking a spacer or quick release will help bring it closer too.

Love the car, interesting swap As for the knee issue, a 280mm wheel solved my problems (6'2") but without power steering it may make it a bit heavy, hard to say for sure.

I have a 330mm and a 350mm steering wheel for my Miata. After removing power steering, I love how the 350mm one feels, the 330mm one just does not feel right, a 280mm sucks donkey dick, I bet.

lol I had a feeling it would. My 280 with power steering is just perfect, added some nice weight.

With PS I have a 320 wheel. I dont know if Id go smaller.

Havent done the foamectomy yet, will be doing it soon.

Found a Megasquirt II V3 board already modified for KL engines with PnP harness and all Just gotta get a wideband and I'll be installing that in.

Thoroughly checked the MSII and harness, plugged it in and got the firmware version 3.2.1, seems like its ready to go.

Here are a few action shots at the Time Attack.

Not so action one
