(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Alrighty, Here's the issue. The CX-7 has 72K miles and is starting to have horrible gas mileage. I can't afford to have severely horrible gas mileage here in SoCal with Premium Gas at $4.47 a gallon by my house. Back in February I'd still average 20 mpg per fillup, now it's 13mpg - 14 mpg if I'm lucky. Driving habits haven't changed, same routine and routes to and from work, same gasoline stations to fill 'er up. Double checked the air filter and re-charged it after 30K miles to be safe but the mpg's are just really crappy, sort of like a Hummer minus the attitude and weight. The manual states we should replace our spark plugs at 75K, should I jump the gun and take her to the stealership and have the tune up now or hope it's just the changing of the gas from the winter formula to the summer formula. Two things to note, there are no codes on the vehicle and the gas changeover has never happened like this before. Any Ideas?
