The battery on my camera just went out so I was able to take one pic hope it makes sense, the bottom hole I readjusted towards the passenger side and the top I left on the original position and added and extension with a bracket to support the top.

@eric@edgeautosport

I'm wanting to upgrade to a GTX3071... power goals are a modest 400 WHP so I don't have to build the engine.

Can you please take a look at the mods in my sig, and PM me a quote that includes the turbo, and the supporting mods I'll need to make it all work? I'm not sure if EWG or IWG is easier for installation, I'll take your advice on this part. Please set me up with the parts I will need for the easiest installation to meet my 400 WHP goal.

im going to order the gt2871r today. what size coupler do i need to order to run the cobb turbo inlet? 3-2? also what is the outlet size? im sure i need a coupler for my fmic piping also. thanks!

Get the GTX2867r.... You will need a 3" to whatever size the cobb inlet is. You will need a joiner that is the same ID as the cobb inlet as well.

Hey Eric, I started another post, but I just came across this one, need your advice, I have a GT3071r, and bnr s3, trying to decide which one to install, I am a little worried about the gt issue of boost spike. My goals are 370 to 380whp, I am fully modded. I do not want to change my gt turbo to ewg, so do you think I will have an issue with the gt, or just go with the BNR, need to take into account I do not have E85 gas around, there is one station in MA, but it is a half hour away, thanks

Go with the GT for sure. At those power levels you wont need to push crazy amounts of psi so boost spike wont be an issue. Also keep in mind the GT is also ball bearing so longevity is also a factor. I would say go with the GT all day man you will love the turbo and make the car much more enjoyable to drive not getting into boost every .2 seconds.

Thanks Eric for the input, so I will need a few things from you to order, the CPE TIP, and what ever you recommend for an intake, do you think a 3" intake would be better. Also I have the turbo but I am not sure what else I need so if you can come up w a part list with prices, i know i need a boost tap, step down studs, coolant flex hose, I do have a grimmspeed ECB, and if you want to pm me so I can paypal the payment over to you would be awesome, thanks

Noob Question! When I bought my MS3 it already had an upgraded ATP turbo installed and I want to know which one it is (ie. GT2871R, GT3076R, GT35R, ect...) I looked at the plate in between the compressor side and exhaust side and it didn't have any of those model numbers on it. Is there anyway to tell which one I have? Thanks!

There are some exhaust manifold + EWG combos that won't give enough clearance for a TMIC right?

hehe well I just noticed like the steedspeed EWG look like it might protrude into where a TMIC would be, and that's why I can only find pics of the steeedspeed EWG with FMIC setups.

Or maybe everyone with a steedspeed is smart and knows how much more beneficial a FMIC is unlike me (:

6 month bump.

With the current mods I have (see signature) and add a CP-E TMIC/Cobb BPV... If I drop in a GTX3071R + 38mm EWG, and the JBR 3.5" BT intake, and EBCS what kind of numbers could I be expecting? 400ish?

Here's my dyno from a few months ago, you can see the print out about halfway down the sheet. 2010 Speed3 Dyno @ Corksport On these dyno pulls I was running an unfinished tune with mis-gapped plugs. Plugs are now gapped properly and the tune is done. Rough estimate of numbers I could be seeing with the BT?

Go fmic. I don't know what you're using for fuel but I don't think you'll see over 400 on pump/e85 without supplemental meth or 5th port

I ran over 400whp with just 2.5 gallons of e85 Depends on the tune really and how much psi you want to run.

Like overall top end goal or power under the curve? Honestly a regular 3071 will suit a majority of peoples power hunger. I meant it really depends on how much psi you want to run out of a specific turbo to get what you want out of it.

For example me 3076r at 22psi felt pretty good. At 24psi it felt amazing and when I was running 27psi it really shined. If you plan on sticking with no more than 25psi the 3071 will suit you just fine but its when you get a little greedy with the boost the GTX wheels really shine up top

FMIC = More moniez. I would go with a TR8 or TR11 if I could find a piping kit that wasn't so expensive, if there are any kits out there for gen pu that are less than let's say... 150 I'd probably do it.. If I'm going to buy a FMIC I want to do it right the first time and not have to worry about buying a bigger/better one down the road. After I put in the turbo I'd most likely be getting Devil's Own to help out.

Fmic helps with every day bat's. you don't want to rely on a chemical intercooler, use it as an assist. Do it right the first time even if it means saving a little longer for the BT

Well I'd be getting an IC before I went meth of course, but I just need a reliable piping kit that is cheap as well. 450 for CX is a bit absurd...
