Actually if the dyno used for this is the same one on Edge's facebook page I may have to eat my works. 242whp/293tq as a baseline dyno. lol

This seems like someone just bought a shit load of bolt-on parts hoping to make 400whp. Instead of taking their time feeling the change of each part as the car progresses. Isn't that the whole fun of this hobby? Why just slap a whole bunch of shit on the car all at once? There really isn't anything special about this. A shiny turbo and a Cp-e FMIC...big fucking deal. Do some research on how these cars make power.

I agree, i think that with a safe turn the car is going to run nice. But there will be untapped potential becuase the exh mani. He did say that over the next year more parts will be going into the car, and the 10k was just the first stage. So i guess we will have to see. Numbers on a dyno are always fucked so who cares. Lets see some 1/4 times

did you get a driver Mod with your 10k?

The only thing i would have done different is donate, then talk to people on here that have done it and take their advice. Got to love dougfresh's twin scroll build... thats the way i would have gone.

What's up boys (and any girls)?! This thread reminds me of some recent events in a place called Vancouver lol. We're not shooting for the stars with this build and we know there are better and more efficient ways of making power with this car but we'll see how it ends up after this weekend. This dyno is most definitely generous though.

Wilks and i made over 400 uncorrected at 5500 ft elev on an ATP 0.55 a/r 3076 and water injection.





So, jussayin.... 400 really isn't that cool anymore. And certainly feasible. It definitely was the abs max for his turbo though. A single scroll t3 with bigger a/r would have made much more power IMO.


Elevation makes the pressure ratio's very high, so you need to get a turbo that's happy at a very high boost level. >25 psi. Preferably 30.

I sense fail coming, and it has nothing to do with JP or how much power is put down. But when you go BT, and you have every thing done for you, you don't learn shit. Then stuff goes wrong, and you don't know what to do.

Almost every BT on here runs into problems from time to time, so unless OP has done a bunch of mods himself and research in the past, he will eventually get his couch fucked!.. NATOR is the only way to go BT!

This won't make 400...

It might with a very happy correction factor, but unless you plan on running about 27 psi with that 3071 and a shit load of timing without meth, you're not going to come close.

Oh, btw... I spent about 5k to get fully bolted with an ATP 3076, exhaust manifold, external wastegate, and meth setup, and wheels with drag radials.

I don't know how much all this shit is retail, but it doesn't sound like you got that great of a deal, and saying stupid shit like "No car will be able to touch mine for 32k" is stupid. My car would have raped yours for about 24k

Edit: Also, don't race any turbo Cobalts... You will be severely disappointed

Hey guys! Well we can't complain much about our results. 385whp and 415wtq on a DynoJet. We targeted 20psi and somewhat expectedly we have a little bit of creep but it's more of a quick spike for sure. It'll reach about 21.5 briefly and taper off to be more consistent through to redline. Car is actually doing slightly less boost because of our air but we'll be datalogging this week and seeing how the car is really acting. There's definitely more motor left to tap into but Joe was pretty happy where we were at so we're going to see how he likes it and make adjustments later if he wants. Car is definitely quick though and if we did apples to apples, it's an increase of 143whp compared to our completely stock baseline in our Gen1 on the same dyno.

Of course, the true test as mentioned earlier by someone in this thread will really be at the quarter mile. Unfortunately, the air is even worse at the track at 5800ft. There's no doubt the car has another 2-3 seconds to gain the way it is now so we'll see.

All the fitment of the parts was great. We had to use a 3" aluminum pipe and short silicone connector to connect the MAF to the BT inlet from CPE because the silicone piece was a little too stretched and didn't seem like a great way to go. We took pictures of that if you want to check it out. We'll post up this week. Joe has all the video and pics and dyno graphs so we'll get em up this week.

I know you Nator guys don't like to hear this but the work was done at a shop so that was included in the 10k. He planned the build with the shop before we talked about parts. I would have helped him but no big deal. I don't know why 10k was mentioned in the first place because it doesn't really matter. Numbers are corrected as they always will be with any numbers I post up. We didn't have an EBC handy is really the main thing. At one point I meant to mention an EBC and I think we just spaced it so we used a MBC at the last minute. Worked really well anyway so we'll keep it.
