It's too bad that anyone with an '89 skyline for sale wants $25k for it.
There's something about a classic japanese car that just doesn't have the "flair" that an american classic has. Hard to explain. I do really like some of them though, like a 240z is pretty cool, but there aren't many classic japanese cars that I think are worth owning. IIRC The president of Nissan has an '89 skyline GTR though, that's pretty cool.

Nice. Mazda on the list 3 times. MS6 is definitely a curious one I see popping up on more and more lists. The mix of AWD, Higher end Interior, and Speed fits and yet doesn't fit a lot of these lists.

Yeah like they said in the article, the MS6 is kind of all by itself in the market. Which is probably why Mazda decided not to keep making it...

I posted that 6 in the jalopnik article last week suggesting it as one of the best for under 15k. A few other people posted it as well, I'm glad it got in. If you look at the ebay ad though that engine bay is rough. There's a reason they aren't asking a lot for it.

Unfortunately, age is starting to catch a lot of the MS6's and 1st Gen MS3's.

The problem is that everyone who has a low mile, one owner model, tends to also have no reason to sell, they like their car to much.

Well, if it meant a clean one owner WWP I'd smash that 50 year old all day... However, I am not so sure that ,"I only did it so she'd sell me her car." will fly with my wife. I may have the car, but I would have a nice new alimony/child support bill and be missing my nuts too so I have options to weigh here.

I'm pretty sure I read the MS6's competition is the Legacy Gt/ spec b/ Outback xt.

I drove them both -including the legacy spec b- and I liked the mazda more. *including the fact I spanked a "stage 1 " legacy spec b when I was stock lawls.

Top gear compared it to a Ford and a BMW sedan, the Ford being one that we can't get here in the states. Clarkson said he had driven 100k coupes that weren't as good as the MPS6 but it had a rubbish badge and a hideous radiator grill. But still, behind the wheel he liked it quite a bit. Ran a 1m32s lap time if I'm not mistaken.

Really think that the Mazdaspeed6 is a good choice. They drive so well and they have a good interior. Really love those cars.
