The original drift car - midgets

Here's a few pics of one of my good friends' midget car we were workin on last night. These things are no joke. 400hp from a NA 4 cyl motor. Super high compression, 10,000+ rpm's, and wait for it.........900 lbs. These things straight up haul ass. If you've never seen a midget race, I highly recommend going to one, especially on a dirt track if you have one close by. Dry sump oil, fuel injectors are regulated by a pill in the fuel system and injectors are constantly spraying. Titanium rods and valvetrain is mostly titanium. Individual throttle bodies on the runners. Driveshaft goes right through the middle of your legs and the rear end sits right underneath your ass. Really awesome cars.

Are the Esslinger engines still based off the old 2.3 liter ford? Obviously that motor has no ford parts on it but I know they had the best stuff for your motor back when i had my pinto.

I believe Esslinger's midget stuff is all one-off. You're right, they make stuff for other cars but I'm pretty sure their midget stuff is all their own design and manufacturing. Not 100% sure though. I'd have to ask my friend.
