Default BNR S4 Build in Florida

Well, the time has come to build my engine. After compression tests and leak downs, its confirmed that Cyl 2 isn't too happy. Over the past few weeks, I've spent about $6k on various parts. Planning on yanking the motor out one of the upcoming weekends, will take many pics of the tranformation. My build list consists of:
Manley rods and pistons
Oem main and head bolts
Oem head gasket
Oem bearings
BNR S4
Bosch 3 bar map
Grimmspeed EBCS
Turbo XS v-3 EWG Manifold
Tial MVR 44mm EWG
Custom EWG Dump tube
Speedperf6rmanc3 Breather
JBR Catchcan
JBR BSD w/baffle
CPE Tial QR BPV
CPE TMIC(for now)
3" Turboback
Autotech HPFP
3" JBR Trupath
ACT 6 puck setup
I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting. Ill start posting pics soon as things start arriving.

Looks like a fun build. Aren't you going to need extra fuel? or you going to keep it mild?

Sticking with the stock MAP sensor?

Shooting for 370-390whp, dont wanna push the IDC too high, as I believe 400whp puts them about maxed out. Once I get rid of the TMIC and go FMIC I'll probably pick up a JMF manifold for some PI and crank it up a bit.

Im guessing Florida heat + OTS tune = detonation. Mods before were 3" intake, CPE TMIC, Autotech Internals, 3" Turboback, RMM and TMM.

BTW @rocknrolla47; how was the fitment with the cx racing intercooler piping? Im debating going that route as its the cheapest option at this point.

I will at some point lol , I'm getting my bnrs4 within the next 4 months I got everything ready for it.

Now the cx racing piping was actually not bad at all , only complaint is the hot side pipe comming from the turbo could be at a more at a 90 degree comming from the turbo but other than that it can't beat the price lol. Fitment was 9/10 so can't complain. I got it from the rpm store. They carry the most recent updated versions.

Thats where I was thinking about getting it from. Ill probably add that to the other list of needed parts. Ill be sure to post some pics of the turbo once it arrives.

Yeah for sure. Its like half the price of the other kits lol. You can also get it powder coated from them too for an extra $80 bucks which is what I wish I did.

Here's a pic of my kit installed

Well I'm looking into a speedperformance stage 1 block or long block. Also considering just getting a stock block. But I would like to have a built motor tho. I'm asking around shops to see on price on labor for installing and assembling a oem short block to my current motor vs buying a complete long block and just installing it.

How's it going? Do you have any suspicions on to why that happened? Can't wait to see the numbers on that setup!

I'm sure labor will run $1500-$2000. The only thing I'd change about my build would be going with the 2618 forged piston. For my power goals, the 4032 would've been fine. My fuel system will be maxed out before anything, and I opted out of having the crank keyed, stuck with factory head bolts and mains. Next rebuild I'll shoot for 600+

I'd have to guess some detonation, from what? There's too many things it could've been. Did you ever get that clutch out in?

So 4032 pistons, what clearance piston skirt to cylinder wall are you going to set? Also what ring end gap are you using. Or gonna leave that for the shop to decide.

That's cool when do you start you build ?
Also do you think cylinder bore would be recommended to get rid of scuffs from rod knock or will it just cause the cylinder walls to heat up if you were to bore them ?
