Well my seals blew in my stock turbo wanted to upgraded to a better quality one. For horsepower aren't they both rated at around 400?

They are both good but if you're looking to get to 400 go with the s4 or other larger turbo. Either way will take a bunch of supporting mods

Hpfp internals, and an AP or versatune at minimum. I can't remember if the stock intake will fit the s3. After that it all depends on how far you want to go and what your ultimate goal is

To add to this, you will probably need a clutch too.

I agree that the question OP needs to ask himself is what is my ultimate goal.

If you plan on full bolt-ons, built motor, clutch get the s4. If you want a stock replacement get corksport or s3. You can always have less power with a bit room to grow.

This might be a really dumb question but if I run low boost could I get the hpfp internals after or should I do it right away ?

I don't think that's true.
Stock clutch should be good for whatever torque the S3/CS turbos put out. The rods would probably go first.

both of those turbos can blow your rods through your block.

based on your questions and responses, i recommend you just trade for a different car.

I`m not corksport`s biggest fan, but I`d give them credit where it`s due. That said, I know a couple of people who have been disappointed with the results after installing the CS turbo.

goddamn "93" octane

the main difference between the two is that the S3 should spool a bit quicker but the CS should have more top-end. The max CS has seen their snail put down so far is 440whp, per Barett.

You sure on that? My understanding was that the CS had a tad faster spool and the s3 was a little more total power.

To the other person's post about expectations and disappointment, the biggest issue is that people buy the CS/S3 thinking they are going to get gobs of power. Classic unrealistic expectations. Both companies are well respected and do a good job of putting forth numbers to support a modest blip in hp/tq.

If you want a little more umph go CS/S3 based on your driving characteristics. If you plan on going big power then you'd better keep looking. Those in my opinion are Stage 1 upgrades.

Absolutely, 100% positive. CS is like a BNR S3.5, in a sense; more similar to S3 spool, but closer to S4 top-end.
