If you put in long studs that are above the deck of the coil packs you could run a small metal plate across all packs so that a failure of one nut would not cause an issue.

If not that, then studs in general would help, as you can thread lock them in without worry.

Sheet metal for sure. $20 for a 3' by 3' aluminum sheet that tin snips can handle. Or for the smaller jobs/prototyping the $1 galvanized shingles are prime.

I dont think you need steel for the plate. Some aluminum should be up to the task...and wont rust. Get SS rod from Ace Hardware, and cut to length, if you have one near you.

Got the radials mounted

275/50/15.

Currently fixing an oil leak so the valve cover is off the car, hopefully have it fixed by the end of the week.

I am currently separating from the Air Force so going to the track is not in my future until I move to a new job. Don't want to break the car before I'm moved into a new place. Right now I am looking at Florida, South Carolina or possible Texas.

Airfield Operations.

So basically inspecting airfields and up keeping them to stay in compliance with either FAA or DOD regulations.

I have really good opportunity in Homestead Florida, but its all relying on when the air force wants to give me a date of separation.

I have applied for jobs in Houston, Birmingham, Denver, Daytona and San Diego.

My dad owns a business in South Carolina which is also an option. (Forestry Industry)

That is last resort for me since I have a 5 month old.

There is options with companies such as IAP and dynocorp in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Still need to set up the suspension.

Have to raise the front maybe a 1/2 inch more and jack up the rear for that rake stance.

I am currently separating from the Air Force so going to the track is not in my future until I move to a new job. Don't want to break the car before I'm moved into a new place. Right now I am looking at Florida, South Carolina or possible Texas.

Congrats man. I just got out last week... Its weird to say the least.

Well I made the move down to Homestead, FL.

I got out of the military and took a contractor job at Homestead Air Reserve Base.

Things I need to do.

- Set up suspension
- Trim front bumper so I can turn lock to lock with the 275's on.
- Get retuned/dyno for sea level, I will be switching to freek tune since Dustin really doesn't have time to do anything since he has 2 kiddos now. I am excited for my car to be in Justin's hands.

If anyone is down in south florida hit me up, even though I am wayyy wayyy south.

If you ever want a different tune I'd personally recommend Hypnotic Tuning. I've been tuned by 3 different tuners over the years, and my personal favorite is hands down Hypnotic (Rob). From the various tuners I've used, Rob has hands down the most complete feeling tune and the car is so smooth now.

Just went through the whole thread in a few hours. What a great build.

I had a nightmare I was going to get near the end and see the dreaded "well it's for sale boys".

Luckily that didn't come true, glad to see you're still at it. Awesome car.

I ass well just finished reading this entire thread over the last 9 hours or so at work. I am also in the Air Force. I am over in Korea right now but will be going to Holloman when I am done. Are there any shops down in NM that you recommend? From what it sounds like you do every last thing yourself. I haven't got that proficient with cars yet. Hopefully that will all change when I get down there.

It's been a thought to sell it! Haven't had anytime to work on it after my move to south Florida.

Stay away from motiva. All the shops in NM that have touched a speed have fucked it up some way or another. Better off doing it yourself and learning a thing or two.

What was your engine break in method ? Currently doing a motor build. Break it in soft or break it in hard ? Heard cons and pros on both.

I have two kids now and no time to work on my car, it still runs fine. Just needs a re tune, which probably won't happen for years.

Break in was soft for around 750 miles, I honestly forget. Pretty sure I just ripped it and gripped it
