(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Actually hard to see, took me a couple look overs. I got the light just right on the picture so it seems like it is unnoticeable. Hardly any martial gone. You can barely feel it when you run your finger on it. It was cylinder 1 rod btw. Sent from your girlfriends tapabedroom

I want to get some of your guys opinions. I am up in the air if I want to get the Manley I beam rods of H beam rods. Do you think the H Beam rods would hold up to the kind of power im going to try and make, or should I just get the strong I beams. Obviously they will have the 625+ rod bolts.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Might as well just go with the i-beams, but I have no doubt that the H-beam+625 bolts will hold pretty much whatever you can throw at it. I beleive that is what Dave is running on his 6 at 700hp

| Not Ranked : 0 score Here is a pic from Manleys PDF file. On a 4 cylinder application the H-beamn is rated for 600+ at the flywheel and H-beam+ is 800+ at the flywheel. So pretty stout Then the turbo tuff I-beams are rated for over 1000 at the flywheel. Beast mode

I know for a fact the car will never make 1000+ lol My thinking is, I am at altitude and even when I go down to sea level I do not think ill be touching 800+ fly wheel hp. I may be mistaken though? lol Im going to see what the price difference is with my contact and then see if the extra cost is worth the extra strength.

With that said, I'll just be bighting the bullet and getting the turbo tuff I beams on my next build. You (Papasmurf) got the head to push some good rpm once it's available too, which the I-beams will be great for, so I'd probably say just go that way now for that reason too. | ||

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score well this is what I decided on. Manley H-Beam Plus Rods CPe Stage 2 Pistons Reason being on the rods, that extra $300 price tag at the moment is just not feasable and I need to get this car running ASAP. Ordering today. Still waiting on an answer for sleeves from ERL and Kozmic. I do not think Kozmic is ever going to respond even though they stated they would "Help me out" haha. Right now im leaning towards Benson Racing Engine sleeves.

Dave certainly made 720whp on his H-beams but remember he doesent drive on that tune it was only for the dyno. It would suck if you were making 700+ (which you should be able to do no problem) and then have to always worry because you cheaped out on rods. Dont forget rod bolts dont increase the strength of the rod, they just keep it from stretching at higher RPM.....

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score ok well I have been debating/calling companies back and forth for a week now trying to decide on who I want to sleeve my block. BIG thanks to @LumberJack; Golden Eagle, HUGE name in the Honda community will be sleeving/Oring my block. Not only does their warranty shit on everyone else's, the pricing was GREAT! Pretty much if the engine fails at all because of their sleeves, they replace anything and everything that was damaged. Sleeving : Golden Eagle Manufacturing Total cost for me is $1395 shipped, which included a military discount and holiday discount. This includes Sleeves, Decking the block and orings with the copper inserts. Also return shipping, thats why I said shipped. They also stated that everything is CNC'd so I dont need to send in my mains/girdle etc because there is no way for the align hone to be off. again big thanks to Bryce.
