Keep the build info coming. Your moving right along. She looks pretty. Are you going to upgrade your intake too? That just stood out in the pics to me. What Intercooler are you running, you might of already said just skimmed over your thread. Good luck with the build.

Why would the intake need need upgraded? Its a 3.5. Won't max that out.

Swap starts tomorrow evening. will finish up hopefully friday. worst case early saturday. have the beast team coming in from Nator TN/KY.

Meth tank/lines are in....failsafe/gauges done. Having a hard time finding a bov that will work with my failsafe. Tial won't work...but the oem one does. More testing on that and pics tonight..

EBCS is a normally open circuit, so +voltage to the EBCS holds it closed allowing more boost.

I used Bosch 0 332 209 203 because I was not 100% positive on the above so I have a SPDT Relay.

A SPST NC relay would work as well

I cut one of the wires going to the EBCS.
Attach 1 end to 87a and the other to 30.
Leave 87 open.
Attach 86 to a ign +12V.
Attach 85 to the failsafe trigger ground.

24 Volt DC 20 Amp Continuous Duty Relay Bosch Relay 0 332 209 203

this is what i did wrong. i added a splice in this line. ran it to 87a...made a seperate ground for the relay.. bet that was my issue. i was getting a low wastegate solenoid code.

i never claimed to be an electrical engineer.....or even NOT an idiot lol.

I cut on the EBCS side but it shouldn't matter it's just completing a circuit.

FYI when the failsafe triggers it will throw a code for low wastegate solenoid since in theory you are creating an open in the circuit.
It should only throw the code though when it triggers.

I was dicking around and wanted to test it a couple weeks ago by hitting the trigger off my laptop.
Cracking wastegates back to spring pressure ~375HP felt like hitting a wall.

yea i had a buddy testing it using a MAC valve the other day. wouldnt work with my tial bc of flow....but the stock BPV works fine. i went to boost and hit cut all of it....was weird.

wastegate control is my solution to keep my tial valve.

Strange that it didn't work with the tial. Preload on BPV too high?

I like the idea of it opening WG so the turbo isn't trying to spool harder to hit boost with the BPV open if the failsafe hits.

yea. the MAC valve does not flow enough for the valve to work right...even not in failsafe condition.

1/4 line straight from intake manifold...to MAC...to BOV. got flutter. failsafe wouldnt even trigger the valve. threw the stock one on and it worked fine.

i think the WG trigger will be fine. with a 15psi spring and MAYBE a little creep even...the stock fuel system should keep up. with it throwing a code is kinda cool too so you can SEE it worked also.

I'm on 14.5psi springs on my EWGs (hitting 18psi) and was just at 104IDC but this turbo flows a ton.

Thank you Lakespeed... We have been trying to wrap our heads around this for a couple weeks. We've come up with plenty of solutions that should work in theory, but finding the best option has proved difficult lol.

I want to keep my HKS valve and doing it with EWG control will allow that to happen!

What a weekend.

Got it all swapped in and some miles on it. Down pipe is a little short ....so getting that fixed tomorrow. Had a coolant leak I hopefully fixed this morning. Time for break in miles!

i still have to change my valve cover. ive got one with 2 -10AN bungs welded to it. ill be running them to a vented can. that will be done sometime soon. MAYBE my JMF will be here sometime soon too lol. i was over it for the weekend and ready to relax.

You shold really get on it sooner than later. Help those rings get set. I used the mototune method for my breakin. It really works.

I'm at 100.....I've hit 15psi...on accident...this thing spools. a couple times. Good vacuum already and all seems well. May hammer on it after this oil change if I get the ok from Justin. So many different methods.....but I trust Justin's judgement

How does this spool in relation to your 3071? Or is it still too early to tell?

I've stepped it up. Been cracking the wastegate today some. Just changed the oil and it looks mint. 140miles in currently.

Going to do short part gear pulls till 500 Then from 500-1k full gear pulls.

Eric kinda early to tell....but when I touch the gas.....it spools. I think there is going to be little to no difference.

This thing sounds nuts when that wastegate opens. I was afraid the downpipe fell off haha

I know this is probably way off.....but thought I was getting bad boost creep when doing part throttle pulls. 15psi spring and I was seeing 19s part throttle. Decided to do a 3rd gear pull. Just my base map so far. Also downhill a little bit.
