Maybe this will get it....245/50/16 nt555 drag radials. Extended studs and 15mm spacers. MAY have to raise the coils up a tad. We will see.

Waiting on a tee fitting for my dual meth nozzles. Current one is leaking so meth is off. Then time to see what they will hold.

ISC n1.

no slicks because i plan to rarely go to the drag strip. we only have 1/8 mile here so meh. the nt555 drag radials seemed like a good compromise to put traction down on the street and the rare chance i hit the strip.

Well there is a good compromise of wet traction as well. I've hit the rain in mine and as long as you keep it at 65 on the highway and don't intentionally go diving into puddles they work.

Nice!!! I have ISC's too and already have to run a 10mm spacer for my rpf1's and was hoping someone else would figure out a drag wheel set up that worked. Lol

Looking forward to see how the radials work out for you.

got the meth fixed. i had another tee laying around and i re routed a few things. appears to be leak free. did some pulls on the "daily" map 510/420 and the tires held.

flashed the all out map and they held 3rd gear as well. tried a pull from 2nd and they seemed to hold too. they may just make minimal noise when spinning, but even if they are its a VAST improvement from what i had. ill call it a success.

i plan to go out and play some tonight. see how it does. coilovers needs raised a tad. i rubbed over a few large bumps.

We launch full slicks at 6k+ rpms and there have only been a couple people that broke axles. Dead hook is when you will break the axle. You want the tires to spin slightly on a launch.

This is a golden nugget right here for ms3s. I did a lot of liking the last page. Wish I wasn't scared of blowing my transfer case again lol.
@865ms3; where was your meth leaking? At the T? And how did you know? I think I've noticed the sweet smell of meth on a couple 4ths.

At the tee. It didn't go lean enough to trigger the failsafe. But bats were not droping like normal.

Also I saw some puddled up on the splashshield.

Found a set of FD's with 255/50 Mickey Thompson's drag radials with only a few passes on them for $300...sounds like a winner.

well....the locals have talked me into going to the drag strip friday night for test and tune. never been before so might as well. 1/8 is all we have local so not sure what to expect. my only goal is to not break the car and have fun. also, not embarrassing myself would be good as well.

you need to get right with the FWD gods. less power or better tires lol.

i launched at 4500 on the street and it hooked well, but bogged. this was also on brand new pavement with 3 people in the car. i plan to start here then bump up to 5000 if i get the same result at the track.

ive never been to the drag strip before and dont expect to make it a new hobby. so dont expect greatness out of me lol.

Raising up front coils when i get home. im rubbing everywhere.

been a month...might as well update.

no issues...no problems. car still kicks ass. ive got a pesky slow o2 response code and p2096 popping up. been there before. replace the o2 sensor and all was fine again. ive been mobbing around daily duty with the drag radials on the front. they have handled anything i can throw at them.

i had to raise the coilovers 10mm in the front for everything to quit rubbing. did the same in the rear to equal it out.

never did make it to the drag strip a few weeks ago. planned to go today, but rain. its on the list, but not high priority. right now im set on fall dragon camp and getting some tires for it. i killed my rs3s at the last auto-x style event i went to.

all ive done to the car is add meth to the tank. cant complain about that.

edit: got home and couldnt wait. RS3s are backordered until 10/12. not willing to risk the wait and not have tires for camp. Re71rs ordered. @phate; lets see how they do with this heavy pig at the dragon

Nothing. Just slid them on and tightened the clamps. Boost leak test and good to go.

Sick build man, saw your kill map made 565/464 on the dyno video. How do you think this turbo would be on a stock bottom end DISI with reasonable boost levels? I see you auto x and were having to fight the violent spool up when the turbo hits full tilt but curious how different the JB 5862 would be.

Right, I can answer that having been in a 350 whp 5858 MS3 tuned on 93. This turbo is a dog on the stock bottom end...way too big and a waste of its potential. Not even worth it IMO. 3076/S4 is the largest I'd go on the stock bottom end (if only because the pistons get PO'd at high power levels) and I prefer more in the 3071/2871/S3 vicinity personally. Justin and Brent may feel differently.
