If that is a leakdown test, it is measured in % loss. Get us some real numbers. Your mechanic is probably full of shit. Cylinder 3 is a trouble spot on our cars and tends to lose compression earlier than the others. While I cannot exclude carbon buildup preventing a valve from closing all the way, the carbon build up is usually on the back of the intake valves, inpeding air flow, and not on the face of the valve or inside the combustion chamber. Sprint Booster is snake oil. It makes zero extra horsepower, nada, zilch. All it does is remap throttle and pedal position relationship. A simple intake picks up 15-20 hp. Much better investment. Get a real tune. Even the simple plug and play Hypertech tune I run with intake and downpipe/racepipe with high pressure fuel pump upgrade raises hp about 80 over stock, pretty much maxing out the stock turbo on pump gas.

When you get a real tune, it will have its own, correct throttle remapping that matches the choices of the tuner for when and how far the throttle body will open in relation to pedal position based on the tuner's choices for increased boost, fuel, air, and timing advance under different load and operating conditions.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score [QUOTE=Alex.Marcil;3143438]I bought a Speed3 2012 last mounth and now its time to mod that beauty. I made a compression test and well, C1=95% C2=95% C3=80% C4=95%. I ask to my mecanic why he gave me the result in percentage and he told me that he made a leak-down test. So yea leak-down test result are in percentage Reading results No engine will have perfect sealing with 0 percent loss. Five to 10 percent loss indicates an engine in great to good running order. An engine between 10 and 20 percent can still run OK, but it’ll be time to keep an eye (or ear) on things. Above 20 percent loss and it may be time for a teardown and rebuild. Thirty percent? Major problems. The percent of leakage should also be consistent across the cylinders. Any great differences indicate a problem in that cylinder. https://mobiloil.com/en/article/car-...-leakdown-test |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Not everyone has the codes memorized. It would help tremendously if you described what the code is and what you have done to troubleshoot. Same goes for your other thread with the four codes. We are not magicians. You have to put in some effort here.
