(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Surely he shall and he has! I have an update... the build is getting shut down. I'm moving on with another project that has had my attention for a while now. ![]() I finally finished the fuel setup. I went with an ATL Well Cell in the 12 gallon variety for the rear with a Radium Engineering Fuel Cell Surge Tank system. I will be using three AEM 50-1200 E85 pumps. One for a feed for the surge, and two to feed the PI. Each one of these fuel pumps is good for around 700-750hp. Pictures will be coming up as soon as I have it arrive. For the moment the fuel cell mounts will not be very.. special. Budget cuts and time constraints have forced me to move with using tow-straps, haha! Ghetto as it may be, it WILL hold. I assure you of that. When I get a little more money I will go with something a little more fancy. - Along with this comes the change to the FPR setup. All the components remain, but I've decided to go returnless to keep the system a little simpler. By returnless I mean that the FPR will be mounted at the rear with the fuel cell. A singular -8an line will feed the fuel injectors. No fuel will return from the fuel rail. I will have a gauge in the back with the FPR and a digital gauge up front to ensure that the pressures are good. This also means the FPR will be run static. With the Bosch 2200cc injectors @ 43.5psi, they are MORE then enough to feed not only the PI but also the entire motor safely to 700+hp. I've also decided to go with an Odyssey PC680 battery and relocating the battery into the front fender wheel well. No real specific reason for that other then to allow the 4.5" intake that is being fabricated by (censored due to outside non-vendor) to have some room to breathe. On top of that I'll be using the current battery tray (JBR) to mount my BWR VTA Oil-Catch can. Should look pretty bitching once I get everything set up and ready. Pictures coming soooooon..

| Not Ranked : 0 score You probably know this but you need to look at net fuel pressure. Ie if boost is 30 and fuel pressure is 45 you only have a differential of 15 psi across the injector.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I did think about it briefly, but must have passed it off for another more pressing issue. Not a hard fix, just means I've either gotta run a 3an line under my car to the manifold, or move the FPR up front and run a 6an line under the car for a return. Both are do'able. I originally decided on static because the system would be turning on only at WOT. Rising-rate is best when the fuel system needs to adjust between vacuum-boost at whatever load. But now that I think about it, even if I were to increase the fuel pressure to overcome the added boost pressure, it would still leave my fuel setup in a level of unpredictability that I want to avoid. Particularly when coming in to boost where it might see 60+psi of fuel but only 5-10psi of boost. At that point it would be rich as high hell up until when the boost builds. Sure that additional fuel could be tuned out via the DI injectors, but why make it harder on my tuner? Right? Haha!

Mount your regulator in the hatch, near the fuel cell. Then, run -8 from cell to one port on the reg, -6 from 2nd port on reg back to the cell as your return line, then run a vac line and one, -8 line to the surge, then from the surge to the passenger side of your secondary rail, then -8 to your HPFP. This will keep it as a return setup, only makes you have to run one line to the front of the car, and allows you to run the proper 1:1 boost ref on the regulator. The only thing you'll have to figure out either way is if you want your pumps to be all fancy and wired in with relays and everything or if you just wanna put them on switches to start. If you decide on the switched option to start, I'd put your primary (to surge tank) and one secondary on a keyed 12v, which will turn on and run under normal driving, then put your other secondary on a hobbs switch to turn on once you're under some boost. Again, shouldn't take any more time or money to do it all this way and it'll be much better than running two very large fuel tanks, a dead head rail, and a static regulator.

As for the hpfp, you just get a fuel line to -8 adapter fitting. This is exactly how I've run my systems in the past.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The ruble has tanked. I'm not in a very stable situation financially, so had to think smart. The Syrians are cheap bastards. I gave them top of the line weapons and they pay me with cash and herd animals. What use do I have for herd animals? The goats look very used.
