(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Cliff notes: 2012 MS3 Autotech internals Cobb AP Forge BPV V2 JBR 3'' WP CP-e TMIC CP-e catted DP Custom 3'' Exhaust SP Stage 2 MAF Meth kit JBR EGR delete + Coolant Bypass + TB TIG JBR 88a Fully mounted JBR SSB+ Shifter counter weight 17'' RPF1's with Toyo Proxe T1's 245/40/17's 315 HP 350 TQ I got the car last April after I graduated college as my own present to myself (to help me get back and forth from my new job) It was a demo so it had 14,000km’s on it and all stocked out. First mod was the shifter stuff, bushings and the SSP + heavy shifter from JBR. I am back to the stock shifter with the JBR shift weight which I like the feel of way more than the SSP, it just wasn’t for me, as the feel for the shifts weren’t ribbed for her pleasure. After that I put in the RMM (JBR 88a) and got myself an AP which made life a crap load of fun! Ordered an OCC after talking to Mspeed here in Toronto and installed it shortly after, it is exactly like the damond kits and has a nice check valve with it too. Then came the intake... 1st intake K&N... meh 2nd intake 3.5 JBR... stock battery made everything rub (stock BPV rubbed so I got a forge v2 and it still skimmed it a bit and battery box rubbed the intake like crazy) so which I didn’t like either 3rd intake cobb... did the job but I wanted some headroom for power 4th and final intake JBR 3’’... Amazing build quality and great fitment, plus it could be used for a BNR down the road. Then came the black Friday sale at edge so I bought myself the CP-e TMIC + DP + Autotech internals. All of that went in with a bit of a struggle with the downpipe just because the oxygen sensor being a stubborn bitch and wiggling under a car with only a foot of clearance. So 12hours later all of those were installed and let the no traction mods begin lol... I was really happy with this set up but as we all know when the mod bug bites it goes balls deep, which led to my custom 3’’ exhaust lol. One problem with it was the mid body brace vibrating where the resonator was so I had to get the shop to modify the fit and press the brace a tiny bit to make some clearance. Lots of people get this issue with the larger piping causing less clearance, plus our engine rocks back and forth like a mofo without side mounts. You can probably tell where I am going with this... so I ordered the 88a JBR sidemount package along with EGR delete and coolant bypass/throttle body TIG. Those made the car feel amazing... I would recommend these to anyone who wants no wheel hop. Then traction became a slight issue with the crappy stock tires and I wasn’t even tuned yet... Ordered some RPF1’s 17 x 9 45+offset, SPC adjustable camber arms and Toyo Proxe T1 tires which are pretty awesome since I didn’t want to pay the big bucks for Michelins. Currently I am getting my Snow Performance MAF meth kit all hooked up so I can finally go for a tune to see what number she is gonna turn out! I just wanted to thank everyone on here for all the knowledge that has been contributed over the years. Learning the way of the MSFer has been my calling for a long time lol.. glad I found this place and all you assholes ![]() Hopefully I will get the tune soon so I can post up some numbers (just have a good MAF cal for now sitting at 0% - 0.8% LTFT, targeting 11.8 AFR WOT) but here are some pictures for now. Stock: K&N(didn't bother to put the heatshield because my OCC was easier to accesss): JBR 3.5'': Cobb intake (TMIC + DP installed): JBR 3'' WP Full intake: Valence Plastidipped + Rally Armor Mudflaps: Custom Exhaust installed: Meth Bracket: (ordered a remote filler spout from flambeaufluids so I can fill this easier) Winter Rims without my winter tires: Tires + Rims(summer): Last edited by pwdunmore; 02-20-2014 at 07:22 PM. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score How early did you go with a Cp-e TMIC (in relation to your other mods) and do you plan to go FMIC? With these mods do you notice a lot of heatsoak with the TMIC?

There is heat soak in stop and go traffic(+20 degrees ambient atleast) but as soon as I start moving the BATs drop and with the meth it dips even more once I go into boost. (BAT and IAT are almost the same when WOT) I probably get more power from the TMIC + meth than from just a FMIC alone. FMIC + meth would be ideal but I already had a TMIC when I decided to get meth. And for the K04, I am sure the TMIC and meth is plenty. That being said, if I have $1000 laying around I would get a FMIC (cobb) that didn't need me taking out/modifying the crash bar. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Cool. I don't think I want to do Meth. I put a ton of miles on my car. Guess I'll see how happy I am once I get the AP and tuning done (soon!, should be here any day!). I am thinking of sticking with slightly larger TMIC....so many mods, and I didn't win the powerball! lol

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Sold the MS3 last week because I needed something better on gas to drive for work... got a little slow turd... sorry guys No plans for it as it will be my winter car and maybe a secondary. I still have the MS6 and don't intend on selling it, as it is my summer fun car but we all know they like to visit the mechanic.
