That part throttle still needs some punch for half throttle passing. Im still on k04

Sorry, I am really busy with work but here is a copy of the wgdc tables I have. It drives much better this way. This goes to 62.5% accel position.

I couldnt copy and paste so i fabbed up my own and all i can say is omfg why didnt i do this 2 years ago. Car goes into pt boost so well. I can control almost per lbs of boost till full wot just slowly getting on the gas. I never felt it so smooth like this. I feel like i was deprived a little b4 this change lol. Thanks man. Left side is the first real emptying of my oil catch can. Right side is the second emptying. It did not collect much of anything until the upgraded tmic was installed. At least I know it is working finally

Intake manifold install time...finally.

I have some good solid logs of before the manifold and this will be the only mod plus 3 bar being installed. Then I will retune and see where it gets me. Hoping to break 300 on 93 pump when it is a little cooler out (anything below 80 degrees)

Did a valve cleaning while off. They actually were not bad at all. Some brake cleaner and a small pick tool and about 20 mins later almost spotless. Ran OCC for about 30k, egr full delete for about 15k. Total odometer is about 65k.

Manifold almost done. 3 bar map installed. Only issue I have at the moment is getting the brake booster hooked up properly. Have to stop by the ford dealership and order the plastic piece that goes in the manifold with the red clip. Terrible design in my opinion.

Everything is now wrapped up pending that piece from ford being installed. Hopefully the car can be driven soon. Can not wait to play with the map some more and get a new vdyno on her.

I updated the first post with a very close copy of the map that got me the vdyno of 290/344 with 65* IAT. Use at your own risk. I suggest throwing in 1 gallon of E85 per a full tank of gas to use that map without any issues. I have been running a slightly more aggressive version of it daily now for about a week with some KR popping up here and there but it all goes away with a splash of E in the tank. I SLIGHTLY dumbed down the map I uploaded. Enjoy.

What a nice upgrade! I used the exact same tune as my 290/344 untouched except 3 bar setup which will not change the maf g/s. I installed the ported intake manifold. BAT for this run was 22 degrees warmer than my 290/344 run.

Blue is 69* BAT with stock intake manifold
Red is same exact tune at 91* BAT with ported intake manifold no other change

Got some higher KR than usual probably due to BAT so I will need to adjust the map again which I planned to do anyway. I have no doubt I will break 300whp with a slightly cooler day and a touched up tune. Car is still on gutted stock dp and tp with stock catback. Really hope to close in on 280whp at redline. I plan to bump boost up 1 psi once everything is dialed in. I also have a 3" CNT catless dp with dei titanium wrap sitting in the garage and a jbr 3 port. I don't know if they will ever see the k04 however as the oem stuff is working just fine

Got 295/350

I have some room to add timing up top. With this revision I gained a pretty solid 10 whp from 4k to 5250rpm and about 5 wtq in the same area. Biggest gains from the ported manifold are seen in this area from this observation. Oh and this is all with slightly reduced timing from the previous tune. Going to bring it back in slowly til it is as maxed as I can get across the rpm band with more emphasis on top end timing. Trying to raise power at redline as much as possible.

60-100 = 6.06 seconds on this tune

Be careful man, I can appreciate what your achieving but at the same time if you plan on getting the CS turbo why push it to the ragged edge now, especially timing wise.Anyway, good luck, I've enjoyed following along.

It will be fine. BATs aren't really getting too much higher than previous. I just want to achieve 300whp+ peak and maintain 280 at redline on 93. Once I find the limit of the 93 tune I will simply toss in 1 gal of E as a safety net. The CS turbo will probably be on hold until income tax returns. I have adult responsibilities at this moment lol

He's not pushing it. If still on just pump and not running any corn mix or meth, you will not max out the k04 on just 93.

I based what I said on his timing in his map attached to the op and thinking he was 93 only. I think he's fine also with the approach he's taking, max out 93 then add a gallon of e. For me I'll be a little cautious with timing to account for fuel variances. Disclaimer- fwiw,I'm still new on this platform and only know what I think I may know from reading here as much as I can.

Keep reading there is a ridiculous amount of knowledge. My max timing reaches 14.5* so it is a little aggressive for only 93 but if it works it works. Florida is known to have pretty good gas so that helps as well. The map I just setup seems to be working well but I wont know until I get a good 4th log later tonight hopefully

On that note...been atempting to raise boost past 22psi. Target of 23 psi with throttle close at 23.5psi and fuel cut at 24psi with wgdc set to 99% from 3k+ rpm and still can not get that boost target. May need to finally install the 3 port

WARNING: I target 23.5psi with max timing of 13*. Use at your own risk. This log has no e85 in tank. With a splash of E KR is basically not existent.

I will be working on a more mild tune and trying to increase timing to see what happens next. Dropping target psi to 21 and monitor if BATs change much if any as I start to bring in timing.

Looks good. Have you tried bumping up the boost in mid range? If you are targeting higher, have you tried giving the error comp more control.

For sure, if you go 3 port, I'm very interested in if that allows higher boost.

I am commanding 23.5 til redline with error comp table set at 10% and wgdc set to 90%. This allows the computer to compensate some and help keep power stable hopefully. I have read it is bad to set wgdc to strictly control boost. I feel the 10% comp is a perfect setup.

You really, really need some methanol. A simple 2 gallon in tank mix would allow you to run as much WGDC and as much timing as your heart desires. This would make your car pull very hard in the top end where it dies right now.

Send some my way, or E, I wouldn't mind either. Closest E station is 30 mins away and I am afraid to store it in my garage. Used to store it about 50 feet away from my house in a shed but I moved and do not have that option anymore.

I'm not talking about E85. Closest E85 to me is about 40 mins away. I'm not driving to get that shit.

Sunoco Race Fuels | Fuel Finder

Instead I drive 5-10 minutes to a place near me that sells Sunoco race fuels, buy 12 gallons of methanol at a time (enough to "treat" 6 tanks) and add 2 gallons at the time I fill up my car with 93, and switch to a map that uses a fuel gravity of 0.7482 and injector scalar of 1.08 (under "injector control tables" in ATR). I store it in gas tanks (I had to remove the O-rings on the spouts though because they were designed for gas and the methanol was eating them).

It's a little more expensive than E and the fuel economy is slightly worse, but it's a night and day difference (with the right ignition timing settings). When I ran my car against one of my locals when both of us were on "bolted" K04's, the top end was where I pulled away as his power dropped off and mine kept increasing.

And I never worry about storing methanol. It's pretty much harmless as long as you don't drink it or get it in your eyes. It hardly has any smell whatsoever. It's flammable, but the autoignition temperature is like 800°F+...I work with it every day and have stored it in my car on 100°+ hot summer days with no issues.

That's me too. 3 5 gallon cans in my garage, plus usually a full 2 gallon (to put in the next fill up) and a 1 gallon windshield washer jug, to fill up my Meth spray kit.

So sometimes I have 18 gallons of fun stored up!

On a side note, for anyone pissed about the performance of those safety cans - Tractor supply sells gas cans with the old fashion spouts. You can buy plastic tips that will fit your new cans as well. Speeds up fill ups :-)

Hmmm you guys got me all thinking and shit...dangerous stuff happens when people think

Seems to me ethanol and methanol have basically the same characteristics. Both should behave similarly in storage and in the fuel tank. I have the ability to store about 24 gallons at a time.

Has anyone had fuel pump issues with methanol? How is injector scaling and octane boost compared to e85?

From what i understand, long term use of meth in tank can eat away at the rubber seals. I would just get a meth kit vs run in tank unless u just wanted the extra knock protection and power for a track day

As much as I would like the extra power I will probably stick to the 93 tune with a splash of E for insurance. I enjoy not having to worry about mixing anything ever and just fueling up at any pump any place

I thought mixing would get old but honestly it's not bad at all, and you become a tank ninja at knowing exactly how much you need. The 33% I run is an easy 2/1 ratio, and makes a huge difference in power/torque. In the future I may run a meth kit for the summer cooling but for now I'm real happy with the e.
