(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score need to either borrow or buy two jack stands i have two at home but the guy i bought it from said it will be much easier with four to get under the car to unbolt everything and get the car as high off the ground. i need a impact gun also so i can do my install to make it go fast and smoothly he also mention it was a pain without one the bolts were super hard to take off

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score update 12/7/17 switching from my NGR type S to HKS ssqv v4 . i purchase the bov on black friday since it was a pretty good deal . i originally purchase the Cp-e hks kit but it turns out they ran out of the kit and they wouldnt receive the cp-e up to 4 to 5 weeks i was told so i got a call from edge and they offer me to get another kit so i end up getting the 3P performance kit with the recirculated fitting and vent to atmosphere plug . the only difference between the Cp-e version is it came with a by pass recirculated hose and the flange is polished and the 3P is black and comes with a vta plug . now i been reading about vta and i know it's bad for our cars and any car in general but i kinda want to experience it for myself since i have the plug to vta just for a week to see how it feels and switch back to recirculated fitting

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score so haven't updated in awhile a lot has happen last month the first thing i want to talk about is the 3p performance flange i got didn't line up correctly with the cold pipe the bolts didn't line up correctly either so i contacted edge autosports to see if i can get a exchange it here is some pictures. edge exchange the flange out for me it took a couple weeks due to they had to warranty it out through 3p performance and i had to provide proof . the fitment sucks with this flange and found out from another person on Instagram they had the same issue after i got my new replacement. i wish edge had the Cp-e flange in stock so i wouldn't had go through the headache

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score update 12-9-17 installed my exhaust finally came out pretty good the sound of the triton is amazing only thing i needed to buy new exhaust hangers because i was getting exhaust rattle and vibration against the subframe and my AP was picking up false knock since it was moving around so i decided to order new hangers when i got paid pictures below

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score update 12-11-17 i was on my way to work and i was merging on to the free way and i do my normal thing check all my mirrors before i get into a lane i was clear and i was driving in the middle lane for about 2 to 3 mins then i get hit from my drivers side by a gmc sierra truck the guy side swipe me and i bounce and hit another car but the person to the right side of me took off and left the scene. I'm guessing they didnt have insurance ? the guy that hit me try to blame the whole accident on me saying i hit him which is crazy ! long story short i had my car in the shop for three weeks and they repaired it and i won my case and got a check for $500 since i didnt use my rental car insurance it paid itself out and i got reimbursed the deductible pictures below

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score update 1-6-18 i finally got my flange replacement from 3p performance and my oem hks o-ring and snap ring replacement i forgot to mention that the original o-ring and snap ring popped off when i was testing it out once i hit 5psi lol i end up losing it on the street somewhere so i had to order another one

| Not Ranked : 0 score I’ve always thought about this: why not find another vehicle with the body part you need in perfect and replace it that? That way you don’t have to deal with mismatched paint. The body shop I use has always been immaculate in paint matching, but if they ever leave, this is the route I was going to take. I don’t know much about body panels.

Recirculated the hks is quiet to me and I actually like it that way compare to my NGR Type S was really Loud but sounded really cool

I'm glad I order the new hangers I got tired of my exhaust moving around vibrating . also I had a exhaust leak and finally got around to fixing it the car was super loud with the leak lol. I guess the oem hangers where moving too much and cause one of my clamps on the exhaust to come loose . The new hangers also made my exhaust tips pushed in little more I felt like they stuck out too much

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The same week I painted my plate for the ETS I put 4 Gallons of E85 to start my E30 mix the car feels so much faster and powerful on E30 it's insane !!!! a lot more torque steer lol I think at this point I'm either close to 300whp or a little over 300whp I want to dyno it once I'm done with my E30 mix so I can find out how much power I'm making with both of my maps 91/ E30 ! Will & Ryan are amazing tuners I'm glad I got a full custom tune with them !

(Thread Starter) | Neutral : +1 score update 2/23/18 I got my last revision map for E30 2/21/18 from Will i flashed the car this morning and did a couple data logs the car feels so smooth and the way it delivers power ! Will Dawson is a amazing tuner hands down ! i was curious to see how much power i was making now so i did another virtual dyno pull from my data logs from this morning this is 4th gear traction control turn off . i made 329whp 378wtq on the ko4 very impressive numbers and that was my goal for the stock turbo i made it finally .I'm pretty happy for now but still plan on doing more mods for the car Cp-e full downpipe , bigger turbo bnr s3 or corksport 18g , ebcs and 3 bar map sensor retune the car new wheels and tires and suspension next goal is 350 - 370whp !

I should be getting the downpipe this coming week. My plan is to smog the car in August and get ready to install all the new parts the new turbo , downpipe ,ebcs & 3.5 bar map sensor and retune the car I cant wait ! I'll keep you guys posted

Now i just need to figure out what to do about smog ? I'm either going to put everything back to stock or install everything and get a smog hook up

| Not Ranked : 0 score I’m running this same turbo on a E30 mix and 100% methanol tune by purple drank. I think I’m about maxing it out though and need to go bigger. You’ll enjoy it though, relative spool to the k04 and pulls you all the way to redline.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Can't wait to hear about how the CS turbo goes. Do you plan on self tuning or getting a pro tune? My k04 is smoking and I'm really leaning towards the cs turbo. I haven't quite been able to figure out if I should/need to upgrade my stock ebcs, map sensor and bpv. Other than that I am fully bolted. For now I think 21 psi should be sufficient. Keep up the good work! |
