Default Mysterious scratches

Maybe this has been covered before, but my intercooler shroud has what looks like scratches on the front face of it. Didn't think much of it till I see practically every speed3 tmic shroud with the same scratches. Anyone have any idea

The hood gasket makes contact with the shroud, so when you open/close the hood, and when the engine moves/vibrates when you're driving is causes wear on the shroud. You be surprised how much the engine moves when you accelerate - especially with the stock RMM.

Not much you can do about it - get an FMIC if it bothers you.

It doesn't bother me. I just assumed the previous owner removed the shroud and kicked it across the garage floor! Thanks for the response
