(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score when i owned my 2003 evo and ran catless test pipe, buschur racing had offered an o2 cheater. it was nothing more than this resister with a little light on it. fooled the ECU into thinking the cat was still there for emission purposes. anything like that in the ms3 world? now on my z06 i just have it tuned out in the ECU but wasnt sure that was possible or not. kinda a newb here. owned mostly german cars.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It's called a defouler Search here But you can also get a Cobb AccessPort and clear the code. Search the forum to get more answers.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score i know all about anti foulers but....sometimes they do not work. ive had them do both. the o2 cheater/resistor is a sure thing. and to my knowledge, the AP will only clear the code, not get rid of it completly.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Well the Cobb AP is pretty much a necessary mod for a downpipe, so if you get it then you can just clear the CEL code using it.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score ok maybe u dont get what im saying....... the Cobb AP will not completly fix the problem of not having a Cat, will only clear the codes. now this is not a fix, just a bandaid until the code comes back. an anti-fouler might work. but if someone makes an o2 cheater....thats a certain fix. unless you can ready the codes with the AP now am im unaware of this. not to mention the AP isnt out yet for the 2012's.

This is the first time I've read the "02 cheater" term in this forum. I was under the impression that a defouler would have similar (if not the same) properties. But you would have to use a defouler and see if that works. Then just wait until the AP maps for the 2012's are out. This how-to states they are the same... http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-how...ouler-how.html

| Not Ranked : 0 score This thread is a good read about the diode fix and how it affects us... Check Engine Light (P2098) The 2nd O2 isn't just there to make sure the cat is working on our cars, it also influences fuel trims. The diode screws that up and makes your fueling whacky. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yes. Depending where you are that may be a problem for inspections if they plug in to your OBDII though. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Find someone who will pass it. After being around cars and going to car meets you'll inevitably meet someone who knows a guy that can pass it. I'm completely catless, one of my O2's is not even present and the other O2 has a wideband in it lol
