The sooner you’re able to recognize the signs of bedbug infestations, the better off you’ll be when it comes to eliminating them. Where do bedbugs hide?
70% of most infestations start in the mattress and box spring, you’ll need to recognize what a harborage site looks like in a mattress and box spring. They can also be on/in the bed frame head board,night stands, pictures over the bed, electronics near the bed. That’s just to name a few. The signs to look for
When you inspect your box spring and mattress, look for black/brown dots. These are fecal matter.
Also look for what looks like shed skins, bedbugs molt and shed their skin up to 5 times during their lifespan.
Other signs
Not everyone who has bedbugs, shows signs of bites. Some people have terrible reactions, some have little bites, some have no bites at all. So indications of bites only, is not a good way to determine whether or not you have bedbugs.
Pay attention when you’re changing the sheets. Note any spots of blood on the sheet or pillow cases, look for shed skins in/on the sheets. |
