| Not Ranked : 0 score 3/9 mix isn't that much to be honest. Some cars don't even require a recal for it, depending on the seasonal blend you're on or the e content of the pump gas. @johnnyboy05gt; is getting hilariously bad mileage right now (less than 200 per tank on 50/50), and after his tune is done I'll do my current MPG tune changes and we will see what gain he gets from it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just an update: Going from E40 to E35 got me about 2mpg more, mixed mileage driving. I did my valves recently too, and altogether I'm getting about 3.5 or so more average mpg (2 from going to E35 and 1.5 from the valves). |

| Not Ranked : 0 score 50/50 with a few single gear wot pulls and then highway cruising I got about 260miles before my light came on. My tires are also slightly taller than stock which hurts acceleration but keeps my rpms slightly lower at speed. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk

| Not Ranked : 0 score how big is the tank in the MS3? I get 275mi/tank in my 6, for an average of just under 20 mpg (mostly highway) on a stage 2+ tune with 91. sounds like I wouldn't see much if any hit by switching to E.

| Not Ranked : 0 score How many miles do you think you can achieve to a tank with mostly conservative driving? I just finished my e30 tune and im thinking about stepping up to e50 since the gas stations around here offer e30, e50 and e85. I havent seen any mpg loss at e30, still get about 380 miles to the tank. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm not sure if this is the best thread to put this in but it's relevant and I don't want to bump an old mpg thread. For all of those people concerned about lean cruise running hotter and possibly causing damage. That is a misconception and running a lean cruise will actually burn colder than running at stoich. It is possible to actually run lean enough to run into something called cold lean where the engine cannot combust the fuel properly (typically 18:1 or above) because there isn't enough fuel and the large amount of air will cool off the combustion chamber. The reason why cars run at stoich from the factory is because the catalytic converter will get ruined if the engine runs lean or rich for an extended period of time. So if you're catless there is no harm in running a lean cruise so long as you tune for it properly. THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS RUNNING LEAN AT WOT!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Along those same lines, I found something interesting with my highway cruising coolant temperatures. When I ran straight 93, I found that my coolant temp hovered between 180-190⁰F during normal highway speeds and an 85⁰F ambient temperature. Now, in those same conditions running 50/50 mix, I find that my vehicle reads between 165-175⁰F. I understand that alcohol fuels burn cooler, but I am not certain if my coolant temps should have dropped that much. Is that common? I just worry a tiny bit about the block being aluminum, and not having the temps be hot enough to maintain the tight tolerances.

My car ran as cool as 155* cruising on the highway when it was fully open 20*F weather.

| Not Ranked : 0 score He could go further if he wanted to, MPG wise. I was getting 28 on the highway on 50/50; grant it, aero and drafting had a bit to do with that but still.
