HOWTO: Spill Valve SST

Step 1:
Obtain 12 POINT 32mm socket from local or online shop. Make sure it's got some depth to it, like this one:




Step 2:
Cut a box out of it with a Dremel or equivalent, preferably at the thin points on the socket wall (so it doesn't take as long):



Note 1:
You may want to bevel the cut made at the top of the socket so it doesn't touch the plastic connector on the top of the spill valve. If it does touch and your socket isn't beveled there, no worries; just be aware not to put as much vertical pressure on it.

Note 2:
If it doesn't line up right for some reason, don't be afraid to cut another tooth out of the wall of the socket. you only need slightly more than half of the socket wall to get a good bite, as the spill valves are not torqued to a high degree.

When done, it should look similar to this (note that mine is not beveled):
