(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score This thing looks pretty badass, realtime Ethanol content analyzer. Not cheap ($379 for Sensor/Analyzer/Guage combo), but would pay for itself if you ever ended up with a low-E fill. It has analog outputs so it could even be made into an automatic fail-safe device. I'm picturing a little Arduino project that would read the analog Ethanol content signal as input and then output to the GuardianAngel trigger if Ethanol content is too low. @Lex

| Not Ranked : 0 score There are minimum content standards based on seasons, in which you could tune for the minimum and use the cheat sheets while watching the trims. In the case of E70 pump, 4/8 mix would result in E30; with the same mix in the summer (assuming full E85), the mix would jump to E35.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah it's definitely easy enough to calculate the mix. I was thinking this could be an engine saver for a scenario along the lines of a bad fill (i.e. Ethanol content is not what is claimed), or someone accidentally filling the tank with all gas on an E tune (e.g. multi-driver vehicles). The latter is a scenario which would likely result in timing advance so high that it is outside the range of Knock Retard coming to the rescue.
