(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score *Some Notes* Stock tune map was in January-February (i.e 20ish degrees) sometime so that number is inflated a bit. Mods were intake, TP, TIP and BPV. "Best 93 octane map" was just that, the best I saw on that tune. Was typically around 280-285whp. Both "Best 93" and "E85" map are with intake, TIP, BPV, catless ebay DP, EBCS and internals. Timing as follows, from 2500rpm -1.55 3.00 5.00 8.50 10.50 13.00 16.00 18.00 18.55 18.50

| Not Ranked : 0 score I know E85 is temp resistant but I wonder if an intercooler upgrade can give you a few horses.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It won't. The limiting factor is turbo airflow.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Actually picking up a used TMIC today. Not expecting gains just want to reduce the stress on the turbo a little bit. Map has had about 60-70 miles to settle though and temps are down from the 80's yesterday so I'm expecting some better results from pulls today (still with stock tmic though)

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score So like I said above, about 70 miles into the map and here two more logs. Temps were about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday right about 70. Still dynojet correction factor as thats what I started with months ago so I want comparable numbers. But still pretty good. TMIC will go on today and probably some more logs to make sure my WGDC values are still good then sitting back and enjoying the ride for awhile.

| Not Ranked : 0 score That's a nice increase for just a retune with a 50/50 mix.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I know, it's a little funny and also a little depressing. You spend months dialing in and tweaking a 93oct map to perfection and think its great....Than your first tune on 50/50 puts it to shame lol. Edit* That makes it sound like this was my first tune iteration which it wasn't. This is 10 or 12 tweaks down te line. But still, first map with same boost and wgdc levels with bumped timing, big difference.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Others may disagree, but back in July when it was like 100 degrees around here I did a run and it showed about 300 at the wheels according to VD. About a week later it dropped to the 70's and VD showed 325 at the wheels. Same road, same gear, so I think temperature still has a little to do with it.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score That's a very true point, it's just that an upgraded top mount isn't going to give you any appreciable difference in BAT's. So while a 30-40 degree drop in ambients will definitely allow for a power increase, it just won't happen with an upgraded top mount in similar conditions. I do feel that there's an additional few hp to be had if I were to go fmic, though its not worth the time/expense for gains that wont even be noticeable.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I saw absolutely 0 performance gain by switching out the stock TMIC with an ETS TMIC. E85 is a honey badger. Tapadatass

| Not Ranked : 0 score When I installed FMIC on my genwon I did not see gain at all too. Bats are just a little better but nothing special. I want to try e85 cause I tweaked 93 as much as I can, make 305whp. I really want to try e85 but kind of scared of getting black death. I might try 25% mix. @MSP6, let us know how your pump is on the 50/50 mix. Hope you don't have to deal with all that black death. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yep general results so far are 50/50 is fine. I've been on it for maybe 2-3k miles so far, about 2 months. However, I have run a couple of tanks of 93 through as well so my results aren't definitive.
