Default IM Absolute Pressure Map Setting

I'm making this thread to figure out how I missed this information, and to help anyone else who may miss it in the future.

About 3 weeks ago, I installed many parts, including a 3 bar map sensor. I informed my tuner, and he sent me a tune that had the proper numbers in the MAP scale tables to work with the 3 Bar. No matter what we tried, the dashboard and logs were showing a -2 psi with engine off and a peak boost of 9 psi on spring, which is supposed to be 14.

I thought maybe the map sensor or adapter was bad, because the tune was fine, but it turned out to be this.

This is the configuration of the Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure parameter on the dashboard. This is completely separate from the tune. Changing the drop down from Stock to Bosch 3 Bar completely fixed my problem. It only took me 3 weeks to find this. Probably because we were monitoring with the Boost Pressure parameter, not this one.

Did I miss something? Is there anywhere that this has been stated, other than a brief mention in the suggestions thread? I know plenty have had success with Versatune, did everyone else just figure this out, and I'm the dummy? Why is this essential setting buried into a parameter that isn't necessary for tuning? Maybe a setting on the tune customizer would be better.

I'm not being critical, just curious to see if others struggled like me, and where I could have found this information.

I made this same mistake earlier this week. I've always used boost pressure before, for some reason decided to use manifold pressure instead.
