Default LC/NLS Confusion

I guess my goal here is to let other newbs know, read up on launch control and no-lift-shift before messing with it.

So I turned on LC/NLS just to play with it a little bit a few days ago. I haven't come across any how-to's or tutorials on how to set this stuff up, but I haven't searched either. LC set to 3k, NLS set to 5k. Didn't turn megaboost on.

Pulling onto the interstate...once it hit about 5k, it felt like I hit a wall. So I figured, Okay, NLS rpm is wrong. lol. So next chance I got, I bumped it to 6700 and reflashed. A little while later, I got on it a bit from a stoplight and it felt extremely sluggish. Made all the noise, but didn't feel like it was going anywhere. As I backed off the throttle, it felt like I hit a nitrous button and the car took off like a rocket (by comparison). Yesterday, was finally able to get a few logs in. For some reason, it's pulling timing to -10 degrees. That explains the loss of power....but why would it be pulling so much timing when there was no knock? Not exceeding load targets. This morning before work, I turned off LC/NLS, reflashed, and it's been running fine since. No other changes to tune.

Megaspool will pull timing. Seems like you've got it turned on after all, and you have your map settings incorrect for one or both.

NLS engages on clutch switch activation, and LC disengages off of vehicle speed. If you have issues with either of those reading/logging properly, or have them set incorrectly, then that's likely the cause of your issue(s).

Ha, I wrote "megaboost". What a goof.
Pretty certain I had megaspool unchecked. The extra settings for megaspool were grayed out. I've logged vehicle speed before, but not clutch engage/disengage.

I'll turn it back on this weekend and try a few more things and get a few more logs.

Before i get a bunch of crap from others, I know I don't need either LC or NLS right now. I was just playing around with it out of curiosity. I have yet to "launch" this car. Don't intend to launch it either. At least not until I have a diff mount and spare axles. And I already shift pretty dang quick + K04 = not concerned with respool lag. Although, quick shifting has its drawbacks too and can damage things. I really need to stop doing that so often.
