Tune Sharing Gents, Wondering how to use the tune sharing option with VT. And If someone would be kind enough to share a tune with me that I can use/build upon. Trying to learn the ropes and would love some tunes to study and build my own with. |
What do you drive for starters? |
2013 MS3 |
There is a stock tune and numerous off the shelf tunes for you to play with. What are you planning on getting from other users tunes that isn't already available from existing resources? |
I guess I'm just looking to learn from others as well. It would be nice to see what others use to be safe/reliable. Also I hadn't mentioned this in the beginning but I'm also looking for e85 advice. Looking to do a 30%e 70% 93 mix maybe 50/50. So I guess seeing what others have used would be helpful. |
No mods in sig. Start with the stock tune. Lol. That's what I did. Don't forget to do a lot of reading. I'm still mostly stock and I think I have about 40 different tune revisions that have accumulated by just playing with the software. |

I haven't updated anything in my signature or profile. My bad. Hpfp internals. SRI/TIP. JBR RMM 88 duro. Corksport Injector seals. JBR OCC. Corksport TMIC |
Start with a stock tune, use the comparison feature and compare it to one of the maps that VT offers to see what would be appropriate changes. If you are stuck on something, chances are it's been covered here before at some point. |
Alright Cool. Thanks guys. |
Directly copying someones tune is a bad idea for multiple reasons. You're better off starting from scratch (stock tune) and slowly working your way up to where you want to be. |
I've been taking baby steps increasing my load targets. I'm lucky I did it that way because even a slight increase threw my knock sensor in a bitch fit. I'd be all kinds of messed up if I jumped right into an OTS tune. |
