Can you write down the dimensions of the 51r battery in metric values? We dont have here any batteries wich are called "51R". So i have to find a battery that fits.

If the same batteries where you are used, the 1998-2000 Acura Integra uses a 51R, so if you look @ your local auto parts store for a replacement battery, you will find what it is named.

I've been thinking about getting this battery tray but I don't want to just replace a good working stock battery. To those who bought the tray, what did you do with the old battery?

I keep mine in my garage and check the voltage every now and then.

I hook it up to a charger if it needs it.

Not really sure what else to do with it atm.

Trust me though. The extra room this tray gives you is worth replacing a good battery.

Odd. I ordered mine on the day it was released and it had the holes drilled. They even mentioned it in a post back on page 3.

That is why I am asking. I got mine for christmas and didn't think of it until I installed the tray and didn't have a spot for my GS.

We originally had the extra holes for the GS EBCS, but after seeing a potential rubbing issue with the positive battery cable, we eliminated the mounting holes.

^ I'll let you know. The MS6 is not my DD so I will drive it one day, leave for 2 days, drive, leave for 3 days, etc, until the battery fails.

Mine does.

But my system only consists of a Rockford Fosgate Punch 10 P2 and a 200 watt RMS amp.

Depends on how little of a battery. And the type of battery. But, I'm running an XS Power D5100. It is sold as being a group 51 class battery, but, "a honey boo-boo" oversized (as Matt put it). Thus Matt made me a custom tray.

As far as a system, I'm running three amps, two Alpine PDX amps, and a JL Audio sub amp. Don't have any power problems. I also have a 5 farad cap though.

A Group 51 may be a little small, but tons of cars run them. A Group 51 has plenty of power for a regular car. And for a car with a system, the one I have is designed for a system. It's very dense. It has more power than most full size batteries. It weights over 60 lbs. Kentic makes a similar sized battery.

I have no idea what you are talking about. What do you mean screw down? At any rate, it is available with the battery terminals on either side, D5100 or D5100R. You could really use either one, just turn the battery around. But I got the 5100. As far as tie-down, the tray Matt made for me includes a vertically oriented tie-down, as I mentioned in my last post. This is, "the right one".

@HTP; question about the tray for a pu. For the m6x20 bolt for mounting the ecu does the nylon washer need to be against the battery box(lock nut~ecu~washer~battery box) or on the lock nut that holds down the ecu(lock nut~washer~ecu~battery box)
