Default Meth Tank Interest

We have made several different size tanks that fit on the drivers side underneath the headlight. These have a inconspicuous remote fill and all tanks include a level sensor. We have designed these so that the pump mounts directly to the tank making it a nice compact easy direct bolt on setup. I'd like some feedback on the tank sizes (to simplify production) and material of construction (to ease worrisome minds). I will post pics a little bit later.

Tank sizes we have fit: 1gal, 1.5gal, 2gal & 3gal

Material of construction: .125" 5052 Aluminum with type III black hard anodizing

Cost is a factor in hard anodizing of larger parts so therefore we'd like to reduce the selection of sizes to significantly cut this cost.

Why do these tanks need to be hard anodized? For ease of manufacturing we have chosen to make these out of aluminum. Methanol will attacks aluminum's protective oxide layer over time causing corrosion. For the last 2 years we have tested this on an uncoated tank running a 50/50 mix and have zero corrosion. We are coating the tanks just as a precaution if anyone uses a stronger mix of meth. Better safe than sorry.
Why not just make it out of stainless? If this is what people have an interest in than I certainly will. Stainless does raise production cost so that's a factor.

Thanks for any feedback or questions.

Matt
