(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Custom Engine bay covers for guys who went to FMIC I designed some engine bay covers and am having a local fabrication shop make up a set for my car. I wanted to share what I designed and see if you guys like the concept. Possibly could set up a group buy with the shop if you guys are interested. I am having my set made in .090 thick aluminum plate. This would be good for a polished finish, brushed finish, or powdercoating. He can also do them in stainless steel and do a brushed finish or they can be polished. So far its a 3 piece set. Ignition coil & wire cover Mechanical Fuel pump / wire cover Fuse panel cover I still need to figure our the spacers and hardware for some of the covers. I should be picking up the finished aluminum product tomorrow. I had some prototypes cut out of thin sheet metal for test fit purposes and it all looks great. Here are some design pics and pics of the samples for fitment. Please excuse my messy engine bay. I am doing some dress up work to it shortly. Sample minus logo and vents Orangatang likes this.
