(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score *EDIT Aug 8/18* See post 6 for the resolution and links to helpful threads. I installed a recaro SPG the other day. Following other guides on this forum, I've purchased 2.2, 2.4, and 2.7ohm resistors for the airbag plug. I've also drilled out the seat position sensor and placed that on the medial side of the bracket. I made sure that no metal shavings were on that sensor. I put in the new seat and connected the oem seat harness to the one coming out of the floor, connected the seatbelt wire, and squeezed a 2.7ohm resistor into the airbag plug. At first I was getting both code 22 (2 blinks, short pause, 2 blinks, long pause, repeat) and code 49 (4 blinks, short pause, 9 blinks, long pause, repeat). My seatbelt warning was working correctly as it would stop blinking when the belt is clipped in. First I dealt with the code 49 by moving the seat sensor up. Started up the car and now i'm getting code 22. I've tried everything I could find on this forum and the NC miata forum. I've tried 2.2, 2.4, and 2.7ohm. For the 2.2s and 2.4s I bought a pack and tested them with the meter and tried ones that read 2.1, 2.3 and 2.5 with no success. The 2.7 I only had one and it read 2.7. I'm thinking I need to try 2.6/2.8? From what I can tell and through the workshop manual for the gen2 speed, this code 22 should clear itself as it does the check every startup and doesn't keep any hard fault codes. I may be wrong and this may require a dealer SRS reset, but i'm trying to problem solve as much as I can prior to making that dealer trip as locally I was quoted $200 to just reset it, or $150 diag + any fixes + 200 reset if they investigate. Any advice is appreciated Last edited by Oshiguru; 08-08-2018 at 10:12 PM. |
